Livingston Karate Club We teach traditional shotokan karate. We have clubs operating around West Lothian. Classes for adults and children, white to black belt.

Livingston Karate Club has been holding classes since the 1980's teaching traditional shotokan karate. Our classes are held in Craigswood Sports Centre, Livingston and Simpsons Primary Schools in Bathgate. These cater for adults and children (from 5 years old). The club is a family friendly organisation, which is reflected in our pricing structure. We have current registration as a Youth Group wi

th West Lothian Council (registration number 70). Instructors have PVG Scheme Records (replaced Disclosure Scotland checks) to ensure the safety of the junior members. We are insured through TL Risk Solutions. Since 2005 the club has been run by Grahame Brown. Instructors teach on a voluntary basis and the fees collected are used to cover hall expenses, insurance, equipment, club social events and courses with professional trainers. We have a sister club in Bathgate: Westerinch Karate Club, their page is www.facebook.com/westerinchkarateclub. Our students may also train at this location in addition to Livingston at no extra charge

Last class completed, 30 years of karate in Craigswood sports centre finally comes to an end. Although we will still be running at Simpson primary on Wednesdays I am looking forward to a Tuesday night at home with the family 😃

Our classes resume on 7th January. Please note the Dragon Ninjas (5- 8 years) will run from 7 to 7.50 pm all month.

That's our classes finished now for 2024, and wish all our students and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year. We are back in class on the 7th of January at Craigswood Sports Centre.

We look forward to seeing our adult students in a couple of weeks for a social night out, with all our members at the ice rink after that.

Over the school holidays (2nd July until 7th of August) the Dragon Ninjas class will be move to 7 pm.

Over this period the two classes will run at the same time, but separately. On the 13th of August we will return to a 6 pm start for the Dragon Ninjas.
