MATCH RESULT!!

Edinburgh South 5-0 Murieston

Sunday seen the team play their last match of the season. Another tough day against Edinburgh South CFC Girls and Ladies who secured their title win. Congratulations on your season 🎉

The ladies played really well and kept themselves in the game as much as possible but went in 2-0 down at half time. It stayed that way until the last 12 minutes but three goals in those 12 minutes killed the game off.

A great season for the ladies and a building block to bigger things next season.

Match report:

On Sunday Murieston came up against Danderhall Miners WFC the ladies were looking to get a win on home turf after the result earlier in the season went Danderhall's way.

Murieston started well with an early goal from Sarah, and continued to create chances without capitalising, as did Danderhall. At half-time the score was 1-0 Murieston.

After the break Murieston made it 3-0, through goals from Sarah after some good pressing play, and a thunderstrike from Ellis. Danderhall quickly pulled one back to make it 3-1. Murieston stepped up a gear after this and scored another four goals; a header from Katie McKinnon, a couple of well-placed efforts from Jess, then Shannyn, and a cool finish from Emily. This put the result beyond doubt and meant the game ended 7-1 to Murieston, the ladies played their hearts out and showed what we've always known they could do!

We thank Danderhall for a good match, and wish them luck for their last game of the season.

MATCH RESULT!!

Murieston 0-5 Edinburgh South CFC Girls and Ladies

A hard result for the ladies on Sunday as we faced a really strong side on the pursuit of the title.

The ladies put in a spirited and hard working performance but Edinburghs quality was there to see.

We pick ourselves up and we go again!!
