Hi folks, Lauren here with the post I have been putting off writing....😭
I know Jacqui has had the chance to speak to those in our class personally, but I haven’t had the opportunity to thank you and say goodbye in person.
After 15 incredible years, AquaBellies is coming to a close 💙
I started AquaBellies in 2011 when I was 22 and my eldest was just 1! It's been such a huge chapter of my life. I wanted to create something that didn’t exist locally for parents and parents-to-be. What began as a small idea grew into something far bigger. I went on to develop and accredit a qualification, and through Yogabellies created and supported a franchise network that reached thousands of pregnant women across the UK.
Alongside AquaBellies, I was involved in supporting families in different ways, running a baby swimming company which I sold in 2016, teaching pregnancy/mum and baby yoga,baby massage and training many baby and preschool teachers and water safety qualifications as an STA tutor and assessor. I truly hope that through this work, I’ve made a positive and lasting impact on families over the years as this has truly what it's all been about ❤️
Closer to home, our West Lothian community has been at the heart of everything. I’ve been so lucky to work alongside the most wonderful teachers of the years; Lindsay, Kirsty, Jude, Clare, and our lovely Jacqui, who has been part of AquaBellies for 9 years and became co-director in 2024. I’m especially grateful to Jacqui for her dedication, loyalty, and care over the past 9 years, she has been such an important part of AquaBellies and friend to me and this wouldn't have been possible without her, I know she has had an amazing impact on many of you and will continue to do so through her own business, Jacquatics❤️🙏
This hasn’t been an easy decision for either of us. The past couple of years have brought new challenges, and alongside our juggles of mum life, it’s become clear that the time is right to close this wonderful chapter.
Whether you have been to our classes, a venue team member, or just given our posts a like over the years- thank you so much for being part of AquaBellies, it has truly meant the world to me to share in your journey.
