Tony Pulis has a very simple message for managers determined to play out from the back. 😂
“If you've got two centre-backs who can head it, kick it and defend the box brilliantly, but put a ball in front of them and they don't know what to do with it, then you don't ask them to play out.”
Pulis believes good management is about recognising what your players can do rather than forcing them into a fashionable style that doesn't suit them.
💬 Is he right? Are too many managers obsessed with having a “philosophy” instead of simply building a system around the players they have?
