⚽️ Brighouse Juniors U13 Charlie vs Liversedge Juniors U13 ⚽️

So today we travelled to Brighouse for our final game before our break.

We were playing on a huge pitch in some hot sunshine against a very good Brighouse side made up of division 3s and 6s.

Our boys were on fire today and matched Brighouse for the full game 👏 brilliant football played by both teams and both goalkeepers making some cracking saves!

It was a very close end to end game finishing 4-4!

⚽️ Liversedge Jrs U6’s ⚽️
Today our under 6’s made the short trip to Norristhorpe Juniors FC to take part in a 3v3 festival set up by the HJFL.

With many teams taking part from within the HJFL, it promised to be a brilliant morning full of junior football & also to help continue our learning of the brand new 3v3 rules.

Top effort from all the kids involved, the heat was something else for them.

With the HJFL deciding to reduce games to 6mins each. This gave the kids plenty of opportunity to refuel & rehydrate before going again.

So proud of these U6 players. Getting better and better as the weeks tick by.

⚽️ Liversedge Juniors U13 vs Leeds City Juniors U13 ⚽️

So today we welcomed Leeds City Juniors, the heat was extreme but both sides literally gave everything to the game and what a game it was!

Both teams were creating plenty of chances and we were first off the mark with a lovely finish from Joshy to fire past the keeper.

We quickly made it 2-0 with another classy finish from Joshy!

Just before half time we made it 3-0 when Luca crossed a world class corner in and found the ball going all the way in over everyone’s heads into the far corner.

Second half came and both sides were starting to feel the heat taking toll, the game started to slow down. Understandable in the heat 🥵

As the game progressed, Leeds city juniors got a goal back as they started to find abit of a spark.

We then restored our 3 goal cushion when Archie put us 4-1 up.

The game was a fast paced even game all the way through and it showed again as Leeds City pulled another back to make it 4-2 with 15-20mins to go!

Our boys stood strong as a unit and showed great defensive skills right till the very end.

Massive thankyou to Bobby and James for stepping up to go in goal 🧤

Final score 4-2 to LJFC ⚽️

⚽️ Liversedge Juniors U7 vs Elland Juniors Cubs U7 ⚽️

Today we welcomed our opponents to Spen Valley. The sun was shining and it was a very hot morning for a game of football.

Both teams did extremely well to play in the heat and were happy enough to battle for everything 👍

Good football played by both sides, defo things to work on going forward but overall really pleased with the teams performance 👏👏

⚽️ Battyeford U7s Reds vs Liversedge Juniors U7s ⚽️

A tough away game today at Battyford for the under 7s.

Everyone played a lot of minutes and kept fighting in what was a tough midfield battle.

Very proud of this group of players who have come on leaps and bounds this season!

⚽️ Greetland Blues U13 vs Liversedge Juniors U13 ⚽️

So with the season already over, we travelled to greetland for our first friendly of the pre-season.

The weather was quite brutal in the first 20-25 mins making it hard for both teams to get going.

As it progressed into the last 10mins of the half and the rain stopped then LJFC started to look more dominant in the game taking a 1-0 lead into the break after a lovely run down the wing from Joshy who then laid it on a plate for Archie to slot home from close range! 👏

Into the second half we were on fire, playing some fantastic football. We took a 2-0 lead after a lovely finish from Joshy from the edge of the box firing it into the corner past the keeper 👏

Unfortunately we gave away a penalty (soft one but understand why it was given) 🤣 which allowed greetland to half the defecit. 2-1!

The boys didn’t let it affect anything and from the restart quickly went down the other end and restored our 2 goal cushion. 💪

Unbelievable effort from the team and now 7 games unbeaten 👏 6 wins and a draw against our U14s!

Let’s keep this momentum up and take it into next season! ⚽️🩵
