Our U14s captain showing his support for our U8s — because here at Liversedge Juniors, it’s so much more than just football. 🙌

From the youngest players to the older age groups, we support, encourage and look out for each other. We really are one big Liversedge family. 🫶🩵

Today was our u8s second gala at Clifton! Up against a high standard of competition, the team rose to the challenge, using sharp passing and fantastic teamwork to earn a well-deserved spot in our first ever semi-finals.

We faced a very strong opponent in the semi-finals, the team dug deep and every player gave 100% but in the end it wasn’t to be. I am incredibly proud of the whole team today,everyone put in a brilliant performance. Reaching a semi-final is a massive achievement 👏

Our brand new under 9 team had there first ever game today vs battyeford. We saw fantastic goals, amazing saves, brilliant team work and loads of happy smiling faces.

For the first time this group of kids have played together we couldn’t be prouder of them. 8 super players of the match! The first of many great days out in the blue and white I’m sure.

A big thank you to batteyford for hosting the game and making it a thoroughly enjoyable game played with great spirit and sportsmanship.

⚽️ Clifton Gala 2026 U14 ⚽️

Today we travelled the short journey to brighouse high school for the 30th annual Clifton gala.

Our boys were in a tough group against some really good teams.

We went through the group stages joint top of the group with 2 wins and 2 draws and not conceding a goal in the whole group 💪

Into the semi finals we went and came up against a good Clifton side who narrowly pipped us to the the final by beating us 1-0 which was a scrappy goal but our performance throughout the full day was absolutely brilliant and we showed what we are about 🩵⚽️

Everybody played their hearts out and showed tremendous togetherness in every game.

Also want to say a massive shout out to our brand new goalkeeper Thomas who made some fantastic saves to keep us in every game 👏👏👏 he also picked up player of the tournament chosen by our coaches 🏆

Some team for one team! 🩵

3 semi finals in the last 2 months is some achievement and shows how far this team has come! 👏👏

Liversedge Juniors FC U14s are looking for a new goalkeeper to join our team for the 2026/27 season! 🧤🥅

We’re looking for an experienced goalkeeper, ideally with experience playing at Division 6 or above, who is keen to develop, work hard and be part of a great group of players.

🩵FA-qualified coaches
🤍Friendly & supportive team environment
🩵Opportunities to develop skills, confidence & teamwork
🤍Regular matches and football experiences
🩵Training & matches based at Spen Valley High School, WF15 7LX

Players must be eligible for the U14 age group for the 2026/27 season.

⚽️ Ovenden West Riding Alpha U14 vs Liversedge Juniors U14 ⚽️

Today our boys travelled to Halifax for a preseason friendly against a very tough side in Ovenden!

We were in the same division as each other last season and had some very tough games against them then aswell.

Today was no different and from the first whistle Ovenden came flying at us and to be honest we were miles off it from the word go! 👎

We struggled to create any chances and allowed Ovenden to pile pressure on us and we found ourselves being 4-0 down at HT!

Quick chat with the boys and asked them to go out and try and change the things that were going wrong and before we knew it we found ourselves getting a goal back and looking more like ourselves!

We had a very good second half and ended up finishing the game with a 6-3 loss.

Plenty to work on before the season starts but also a brilliant second half performance from the team 👏

Massive shout out to Bobby for stepping up to play in goal today and pulling off some absolute world class saves 👏👏

Onwards and upwards we go!

⚽️ Dalton Dynamoes U8 vs Liversedge Juniors U8 ⚽️

We travelled to Huddersfield for a 10am kick off against a good dalton side.

It took us a while to get going today which allowed dalton to have a lot of the ball and create the best chances.

Once we found our feet the game turned into a really good battle with both teams creating chances and scoring some cracking goals.

Lots of positives to take from today and also some things we now know we need to work on.

Massive shout out to gemma for volunteering to step up and become there coach! 👏

⚽️ U8s Round Robin ⚽️

So this morning we travelled to Elland to play 3 mini games against different levels of teams as we prepare for the new season.

In the first game we were absolutely brilliant against a team in our division. We scored some cracking goals and also defended superbly 👏👏

In the second game we found it tough against a very good side who are 4 divisions higher than us but we still fought so hard and scored more fantastic goals ⚽️

Into the 3rd and final game which was a very good game where we created loads of chances and if it hadn’t of been for there goalkeeper we would have been out of sight but finished the game 0-0.

Overall performances in each game from everybody involved were top class and we showed massive improvements all over the pitch. 💪

Big thankyou to Elland Juniors for having us today 🩵
