Congratulations to Matt Thompson, calling on all his experience to find an eagle on the 16th and then finish with a gritty 8ft putt on the 18th to secure the defence of his Club Champion Title!! A superb achievement from a super consistent golfer!!!

Congratulations also go to Carol Downie for winning the inaugural Ladies Club Championship at Woolton. After 36 holes it was a tie between Carol and Colette Noble and it took a two hole play off to decide the winner, playing the 17th and 18th at 8.15pm!!! It was Carol who came out on top in the fantastic day long battle to be crowned Champion!!!

The stage is set for the conclusion of this year’s Club Championship. Second round well underway with youngster Harry Jones holding a two shot lead on Tom Wilson and, defending champion Matt Thompson after the morning round. Who will hold their nerve and be first to lift our new Club Championship Trophy????
