Our Saturday side kicked off their AUL division 3A league campaign today with a hard fought 4-2win away to St. Ita's AFC out in Portrane.

2 goals from Ger McKenna and 1 goal a piece from Robbie Ward & Warren O Connor decided the game in Frankforts favour

3 points on the board, a great way to kick off our league campaign. On to the next game 💪

17/9/1921 The League of Ireland began. We were there then and we still live on today 👊🏽🇮🇪

Many great players and managers have blessed our teams over the years. None more so than Patrick O’Connell who played for Manchester United and Ireland before managing and saving Barcelona. He managed many top flight clubs in Spain, among them, Real Betis, with whom he won their only La Liga in their 114 year history ⚽️🏆

Oscar Traynor was another notable player for our club who played in goal. Known for far different reasons. He fought in the Easter Rising for our independence in 1916. Thereafter serving as our minister for justice, defence, posts and telegraphs and Teachta Dála 👏🏽🇮🇪

Our club is rich in history and we’re not done just yet 👊🏽🖤

Our newly formed Frankfort saturday side drew 2-2 last night in a very entertaining game against Swords Celtic in Balheary Park.

The lads showed great character to come back from 2 nil down in the first half and got more minutes under their belts in pre season

Trailing 2-0 Sebastià Payeras Torrandell scored two penalties today in the 82nd and 89th minute to rescue a point for Campanet in Mallorca today. Some things never change. There is ice in those veins 🥶🧊
