As a busy working mum in her 40s, I understand how hard it is to find the time and energy to exercise. But, I absolutely love how it makes me feel and its important to lead by example with my clients, who all work hard.

Gotta fit my training in when and where I can! .pt Train Savage PT

11 years ago I started exercising because I was at rock bottom and it changed my life....

Heres what I learned...

Training wasn't about losing fat....it was about losing anxiety.

It wasnt about gaining likes on socials, but about gaining an understanding that my body felt better when I exercised.

It didnt just build muscle, it built confidence and a better future for me

Dont underestimate the value of exercise! Its a FREE & EFFECTIVE medication for body and mind xx

As we age, we lose strength in our muscles & elasticity in our joints. Our bone density decreases, we have less energy and the decline in oestrogen plays havoc with the body. Sounds sh*t...but...

Increasing protein intake, alongside strength training, can help your body age better! Better strength & elasticity in your muscles and joints. More energy! Better hormonal balance!

I'm not saying its the answer to all your prayers but there are lot of benefits to women eating good quality protein and lifting weights!! 🏋️‍♀️

If youre one of my clients, tou already have the list and support but if not, send me a DM and ill send you a list of helpful foods that you could start introducing into your diet.

The benefits of women taking creatine has been hugely researched and there's a lot of positive reasons to take it!

I advise all of my clients to try this. Its been a game changer for me.

Pros for me: More energy! Better strength and performance! Better mood balance!

Cons for me: I did weigh heavier in the first week and had a thirst like ive never experienced before, (both seemed to level out after the 1st week so not a massive con.) I also find that if I take it too close to bedtime, I dont sleep.

*Always do your own research before you take any supplements

Weight training is essential for women and has so many positive benefits..

1. Builds bone density and helps to reduce the risk of osteoporosis. This condition is more common in women, especially as we age

2. Improves mobility, flexibility, stability and strength which helps us reduce the risk of injury and less likely to fall

3. Helps to prevent heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, arthritis.

4. Helps with positive hormone production, boosts endorphins, elevates self confidence and can help with anxiety and depression

5. Strength training helps your body burn fat, even whilst resting! The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn 🔥

Reasons to exercise during menopause🧡

Even if you don't care about getting stronger (which, honestly, you should 😉), strength training is so much more than just building muscle. It improves:

✔ Bone density - reducing the risk of osteoporosis
✔ Joint health - keeping you moving pain free
✔ Cognition - boosting brain function
✔ Energy & sleep - feeling more awake in the day and sleeping better at night
✔ Mental health & self-esteem - fewer mood dips and more confidence

If all of these benefits came in a pill, everyone would be taking it. 💊 But the real magic? You can unlock all of this just by lifting weights.

Strength training isn't just about how you look, it's about how you live. Ready to get started? Drop me a DM💪🏼

🚨Menopause doesn't have to control you, take back the reins!🚨

If you're struggling with energy dips, mood swings, or just feeling "off," here are 7 realistic ways to support your body and mind through menopause👇🏼

🥩 Prioritise protein - It’s your secret weapon for muscle, energy, and overall health! DM me for a FREE Protein Support Sheet!
🛒 Pre-plan your food shop - A stocked up kitchen = fewer unhealthy cravings
🚶‍♀️ Increase your steps - Just 50-100 extra steps per day adds up! Start small and build up over time.
🏋️‍♀️ Strength training - Want to age stronger, not weaker? Lifting weights safely will help you feel unstoppable!
🍷 Limit alcohol - Choose lower calorie options like gin & slimline tonic to avoid extra sugar and crashes.
🧡 Be kind to yourself - Some days you'll feel amazing, other days like Waynetta Slob (90s throwback! 😆). Both are NORMAL!
💆‍♀️ Make time for YOU - Even 5 minutes of quiet time with a cuppa can work wonders for your sanity.

You're not alone in this! Tag a friend who needs these reminders👇🏼✨
