Mersey Tri was formed in 1985 by a group of enthusiastic swimmers, cyclists and runners. Today, with a rapidly increasing interest in triathlon and the associated multi sports of aquathlon and duathlon, the club has grown to become one of the largest triathlon clubs in the country with a strong children’s group of members as well as a steadily increasing senior membership of

Just a quick shout out to our member Rachel Williams who has been spending the year doing some epic swimming after a few front crawl lessons with Ina Maria Morris ( she was already an accomplished breaststroke swimmer). Looking forward to what she manages at Copenhagen. Thank you for reminding us all that every little change allows us to do incredible things

What a great Mersey Tri turnout we had yesterday for the Across River Mersey swim.Lovely to see so many club mates there taking part ,supporting , volunteering and raising money for so many charities.Amazing that 184 started and 184 completed the swim. Is that a first does anyone know , for everyone to complete it ? Big shout out to those first timers in our pods , lots who have improved their swimming, working hard at our club sessions , and then gaining the neccesary open water experience to take on this challenge. Conditions were choppy and current pushing us up river more than I remember - but we did it 😊 Heres some photos but please add anymore you have.
