If I asked you to describe what is happening in each of these photographs what would you say? 📸

The most obvious answers:
1. The people are dancing 💃🏻
2. They look like they are having a good time 😊
3. It must be some kind of dance gathering or social/class 🎶

But the main 2 things I notice in these photographs are: CONNECTION + JOY 🌟

Each one of these dancers joined us at one of our socials and each one of them shared dances and smiles and music in beautiful moments of connection - that is what Salsa can do 🤩

Angel is a charismatic Cuban Salsa and Rueda specialist and helps run the Merseyside Latin Festival with Karen and the rest of the team 🇨🇺

A regular at UK congresses and Glasto Latino, he brings vibrant energy, Cuban/Irish heritage, and a passion for Cuban culture to every class 🇨🇺

⭐️ MEET THE TEAM ⭐️

Libby’s love of dance started when she was a teenager dancing hip hop and commercial dance for many years before going to train vocationally in musical theatre along with getting her dance teacher qualifications. After graduating in 2017 she went on to work in the entertainment industry but at the same time found her love for Cuban salsa. After taking classes with Salsa Liverpool for many years she then joined there teaching team and runs an all female performance team as
well as salsa footwork and musicality classes 💃🏻

Libby loves to teach both Cuban partner work and Rueda as well as Salsa Footwork classes and last spring she launched her own Female exclusive SBK Event. She loves sharing her passion of dance in a no pressure environment with good vibes 🤩

Connor came to his first Salsa Liverpool class in 2017 and hasn’t stopped dancing since! From student to teacher, and later President of the Uni Salsa Soc, Salsa has become a huge part of his life—alongside being a physicist when he’s off the dance floor 🕺🏻

He loves creating classes where people can relax, have a laugh and surprise themselves with what they can do. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, easy-to-follow teaching, good energy and just the right amount of chaotic fun 🤩

Joeys Salsa journey started for fun in university and quickly became a huge part of his life - after almost two years of dancing Cuban salsa he has fallen in love with the scene and the positive vibes that come with it.

‘There’s nothing better than getting lost in the music. I’ve met so many amazing people and the fun never ends (even when I dance until my feet hurt!)’ 💪🏼

Joey is the newest member of the Salsa Liverpool team and enjoys sharing the fun by teaching too! 💃🕺

JP has been dancing Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba for a long time. Rumours say there are cave paintings showing him learning the 1,2,3 5,6,7 salsa count 😜

He’s been teaching for over 15 years and happily shares his love of dancing with those wanting to learn. Next time you see him on the dance floor make sure to ask him for a dance 🕺🏻

And a tip for our newbies - if he’s wearing his hat he’s leading and if his hat is off he is following 🎩

Nicola moved to the UK in 2017 and has been dancing with the Salsa Liverpool team ever since. She is known for her clear teaching style, infectious energy, and warm vibe. She creates a welcoming space where dancers of all levels can build confidence, connect with the music, and have a great time on the dance floor 🎶

Nicola has performed with Tempesta and she also enjoys dabbling in other dance styles such as West coast swing but cuban is where she is happiest 🇨🇺
