A huge congratulations to Shihan Paul Ellis on being awarded his 7th Dan in Ju‑Jitsu.
This is a massive achievement and shows the years of hard work, commitment and loyalty Paul has given to the art.

As my role as Chief Instructor of Budokan Ju‑Jitsu Club, I was proud to nominate Paul for his grade, and even prouder to see it awarded by Andy Morrell, President of Cobra Martial Arts Associations.

Paul truly lives for Ju‑Jitsu.
This grade is fully deserved.

🥋 Kids Class Update — Friday Sessions Closing

We are closing the Friday night kids class.
This Friday 31st will be the final session.

Children who only attend on Fridays should move to the Tuesday class going forward.

We’ve found that by Friday evenings many of the kids are very tired after a full week at school, and their focus isn’t the same as it is on Tuesdays.

Returning to one training night a week should help them get the most out of their time in the dojo.

🏆 What a night! 🥋

A massive congratulations to Tyler on earning his Junior Black Belt!
What an incredible achievement after years of hard work, dedication and determination.

To make the night even more memorable, Tyler’s ukes were adults… and he absolutely flattened them! 😂💪

Tyler is now Black Belt Number 2 awarded by Budokan Ju-Jitsu Club, and there’s something extra special about that.
Black Belt Number 1 was his dad, Lee, making them the first father and son to earn their black belts through our club.

As an instructor, moments like these make everything worthwhile.
I couldn’t be prouder of Tyler.
Watching him grow from a young beginner into a confident, skilled black belt has been an absolute privilege.

Congratulations, Tyler.
You’ve earned every bit of this.
Wear that black belt with pride.
The journey doesn’t end here… it’s only just beginning! 🥋👊
