So... where do we begin. The 7th Beat the Reaper went down a total storm. Everyone looked amazing and the feedback from you all has been overwhelming, thank you.
The idea came whilst running another race and I found it hilarious watching people running from a 6ft 6 grim reaper along the southport coast 🤣 from there the idea was born. We set this up as at the time there were no races in the North of the city. Over 7 years the race popularity has grown with over 3,000 runners gracing the course in total with the most spectacular costumes. We have laughed, cried & battled storms to put this race on for you but the time has come to take a break.
Words cannot describe the fun we have had and the feeling when you all cross the line super happy with PBs and achievements.
Big shout outs to everyone who has volunteered over the years. Without you we could not have done this. You are the unsung hero’s of running.

***Course Check information***
Due to the rainfall over the past few days the park is quite muddy in parts. 80% of the course is on pathway or tarmac. There’s a lot of leaves too.

1Kids 1k fun run. All entries receive bespoke medal and sweetie bag. £6 per child (adults need not pay but can run with children)
