Your weight can swing 2-5lbs in a single day based on things that have zero to do with fat.l.

Ate a salty meal last night? Water retention.

Digestion running slow? Bloating.

Haven’t been to the loo? That’s sitting on the scale too.

Period around the corner? Temporary water weight.

None of that is fat. But it all shows up as a number that ruins your morning.

Here’s what we tell every woman we coach: weigh yourself daily but never judge a single day.

Zoom out and look at the trend over 2-3 weeks. Is the general direction downward?

Then it’s working. Full stop.

Our Women’s Health & Weight Management clients don’t see the scale drop every day.

But when you look at their graphs over 4, 8, 12 weeks, the trend is always moving down.

Now, if 2 weeks go by and the trend genuinely hasn’t shifted at all, that’s when it’s worth checking your tracking.

Then they actually track it for a day and realise they’re hitting 40-50g when they need closer to 100-120g 😅

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how much exercise benefits your physical health.

And I probably don’t need to tell you how much it benefits your mental health, as this is so well documented now!

But did you know exercise can also aid in a calm and happy home by helping with emotional regulation? (PMID: 31507480)

Regular exercise is likely to make you less reactive and more able to rationalise family members’ actions or words.

🧠 Plus, by boosting the brain’s dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin levels, exercise also affects focus, concentration and motivation.

So tackling that pile of clutter, or whizzing round with the hoover feels less daunting and your space feels more zen all round 😉
