Palmerston Tennis Club We are a friendly tennis club situated in South Liverpool, just off Allerton road and Queens Drive. Current Men's Liverpool league champions.

The club is open to both Tennis players and social members. We have 6 artificial grass tennis courts and equipment to provide short tennis for junior players. Our clubhouse has a function room, bar, lounge and male/female changing facilities. Last year we became the first members tennis club in Liverpool to achieve Clubmark. Achieving Tennis Clubmark means the LTA endorses and supports a club’s te

nnis programme, policies and procedures, action and development planning, and club management. We have 6 men’s and 2 ladies tennis teams which compete in the Liverpool & District tennis league. Our Ladies A are the current section A champions, while our Men’s A were runners up in their respective league. Our mixed team are the current holders of the Fairlawn and Brockbank trophies. Palmerston hosts various tournaments throughout the season, from American tournaments to Club championships for juniors, seniors and Veterans. In September we host our traditional Men’s and Mixed Open doubles tournaments. Our club coach is David Simms and he offers both junior and senior coaching, either one on one or in a squad. Looking for a fun, active way to keep the kids entertained this summer?

Join us at Palmerston Tennis Club for our Summer Tennis Camp, running throughout the school holidays from 20th July – 28th August 2026.

✅ Ages 5–16
✅ Fun tennis sessions
✅ Professional coaching from LTA Accredited Coaches
✅ Open to all abilities
✅ Half-day options available
✅ Make new friends and build confidence

Plus, easy access clubhouse with table tennis, pool table and games for break times (and easy shelter in bad weather moments!!)

Friday evening’s at Palmerston is about the matchplay and social!

Our Rusty Rackets session is for anyone that can rally basically! 😄🙌 🎾 It’s all about mixing in, meet new people, and is a great way to get to know the club a bit more!

From 6pm we’re on court til the sun goes down but the clubhouse and bar is always open too so why not stay for a beverage or two while you’re there! 🍺🎾

Free for members, visitors fee for non-members.

Cardio tennis was really giving cardio today! 🥵

A few of our regular drills with Coach James involves the added ‘fun’ rule that if anyone hits the target board, then everyone else has to do a lap of the court.

It was safe to say that with Neil hitting the board a record total of 5 times (2 of them being one straight after another - as captured in the first video here), Alison hitting it twice, and me (Cleo!) once…we were pooped by the end!! 🫠

All good fun though and always come out of the session feeling as though we’ve had a good workout 💪

No Cardio session on next week due to Half Term camp being on, but normal service will resume the week after (Thursday 4th June)

A buzzing Monday evening for Coach Ricky and Coach Josh, with top attendance for both the Junior Team invite-only session looking dynamic and fun, followed by our adult intermediate session being just as great!

Even with the rain coming down on us in the later session, we all still enjoyed being on court!…saying that, I’m not gonna lie though, with it being late May a bit more sunshine and less showers would’ve been nice! 😅
