That season Liverpool went on to win the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and the League Cup;

Liverpool were being led by a new Coach, Joe Fagan, in his very first Season;
Who went on to become the Manager of the Year after making Liverpool the first English Club to win a Treble;

Is that all? No...

Joe Fagan became the Liverpool Coach after the retirement of a great Manager, Bob Paisley;
And just like Arne Slot, not many persons believed in his ability to sustain the huge legacy of his predecessor;

Also,

Joe Fagan played as a Midfielder, same as Arne Slot;
And the retired Bob Paisley managed Liverpool for 9 years, same way Jurgen Klopp managed the Club for 9 yearsǹ

So,

In Summer, 1983, an unexpected Coach Joe Fagan took charge of Liverpool after a 9 year reign of the great Bob Paisley, and delivered a treble of PL, UCL and the League Cup, after being knocked out of FA Cup by a second Division Club, in the 4th Round;

Fast forward to this day,
In Summer, 2024, an unexpected Coach Arne Slot took charge of Liverpool after a 9 year reign of the great Jurgen Klopp, and he's heading to delivered another treble of the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, and the League Cup, after being knocked out of FA Cup by a Second Division Team, in the 4th Round!

Klopp didn't do the 3 fist pump celebration out of respect for Manchester United F.C. It was probably the biggest league win of his career and possibly LFC's history. Those 3 fist pumps would have gone into the LFC Hall of Fame. But he still had the sensitivity to show respect to the rival institution, it's fans on their most difficult day. Did the same after beating Bournemouth 9-0. It's so sad that Football fans call him a sore loser and a complainer when he speaks about real issues of the game like financial fairplay, VAR and schedules out of the same love and respect for the game. So so sad. You can't doubt his character for one second, he's earned that. Absolutely pure class act.
