Ganbatte 26 The Team 💪🏼
We couldn’t run our biggest annual event without this mighty team! For the first time this year three of our Junior coaches took on the huge responsibility of refereeing and scoring competition rounds and did an absolutely perfect job. Thank you all so much for giving up your Saturday morning and for always being the best inspiration and support to our younger and less experienced students. Ganbatte!

Ganbatte 26 our annual grappling competition.
Juniors 8-12yrs.
What does Ganbatte mean? It’s a Japanese term that simply means keep going, try your best, commit to and see through a task, ambition or goal even when it is difficult and every obstacle is thrown in your way. I think you’ll agree that we saw the art of Ganbatte in person so many times over in the second part of our competition this weekend. Things get a bit tougher when you get to Juniors level and we saw such bravery, determination and honour in continuing on their toughest day. I don’t think we’ve ever felt prouder and every single competitor, medal or no medal, made that competition one of the best days in Foundation history. Thank you, ganbatte!

Wow, what a show of bravery, energy, friendship, determination and joy. Every one of you showed up, did your best and looked after each other and that’s all we ever ask. Lots of fun was also had, lots of you overcame big feelings and turned them into beaming smiles and medals and absolutely every one of you should be feeling like you’ve made a huge step forwards in your martial journeys. Thank you to all of the families and lovely spectators for surrounding all the small ones with support and positivity. Ganbatte!

What an amazing day for our first visit to Total Warrior
Our teams took on the Junior, 6k and 13k runs and every single person brought all their energy and good vibes to the beautiful Bramham Park. So proud of everyone finishing the weekend stronger, faster, braver and happier. We’ll be back next year and we want to bring a big squad of over 8s to run together as mighty warriors! Who’s in?

Foundation Ganbatte 26 Invitational is our yearly competition for kids and teens that mixes pin to win and submission gi grappling. The primary goal is experience and fun for everyone. Foundation members find your sign up in your emails and the WhatsApp group.
