This particular team would not suit players just beginning but we have other opportunities for players starting out.

Congratulations to U15 player Ben Nutbrown on his move to Preston North End Academy. He signed last week.

It's been a pleasure to work with Ben, he and his Dad have fully embraced the coaching, additional sessions & development ethos and now they've got their rewards.

Playing in the The Junior Premier League every week has been really important, Ben's age group has been very competitive.

It's a great example that shows if you keep working, get the right coaching and have the best developmental challenges for your football that you can still get opportunities at clubs. No child at U8 has 'made it' and no child at U8 hasn't, keep applying yourself with a good attitude and working hard and you never know.

River Juniors are joining the social media boycott from 3pm on Friday 30 April to 11:59pm on Monday 3 May, in response to the ongoing and sustained discriminatory abuse received online by players and many others connected to the game.
