Fartlek Training
Fartlek is a Swedish word and translated means speed play. Fartlek is a mix between continuous and interval training with varying speeds or intensities to improve fitness and endurance.
Benefits:
▪️Effective for endurance AND speed training
▪️Improves fast twitch muscle fibre response
▪️Highly adaptable (usually completes as a run but I opted for low impact with an exercise bike)
▪️Activates aerobic and anaerobic metabolism
