David Clarke Davy Clarke with a brilliant Silver in the M65 5000m at the World Masters Champs in Daegu, Korea.🥈🥳🤩

Pretty hot conditions and what a race.🤯
The Korean athlete Lee took it out and got a massive gap on the chasers of Davy, Rick and Francisco.
4 laps to go eventual winner Francisco caught Lee at the bell and Davy and Rick battled the last lap with Rick at his limit and stopping then Davy thinking he’d secured the bronze caught the walking Lee from Korea to take Silver.
Masters athletics at its best!!!

What a brilliant night at the North Wales Endurance open where a race between England and Welsh masters took place with 3 age groups. (W35/40/45)🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.
Victoria Ellison running her 3rd track race ever and debut for England went in with brilliant form after a great 1500m PB at Trafford on Tuesday.(5:06).🔥

What’s been so rewarding as a coach is the trials and tribulations of development and Vickie didn’t know what was possible at the shorter distances and exploring the speed endurance side has added vigour and excitement to the training and racing alongside her partner Terry Fearns who’s flying too.👌🏻
To represent England masters so early in this development could have been an overwhelming experience but we’ve worked on this and last night Vickie delivered with a top run and a new PB of 11:00.99.🥳🤩✅🔥🔥
A big support crew was present with family and friends which made it a special night for everyone. ❤️Andrew Soutar

Onto the next one at the British champs and more new valuable experiences.✅👌🏻🇬🇧

Brilliant to see Steve Taylor and British masters M65 relay team break the European and British record for the 4 x 800 relay today at Redditch. Average 2:34 average for the team.✅👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧🇪🇺🙌🏻🥇⭐️

Brilliant news for Victoria Ellison getting selected for England Masters 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 on the track over 3000m v Wales masters🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 on the 21st August in Connah’s Quay.

This comes after Vickie’s recent track debut and a quality time that gave her the opportunity.
The road hasn’t been an easy one but back to back PB’s over 3000m and 5km road recently shows that perseverance and resilience is a big skill that Vickie is practicing well.💪🏻🤩
Delighted and proud as a coach to see this and we will go into the race the same as any other but with the first priority of enjoyment and gratefulness.
I’ve got to mention Vickie’s partner Terry Fearns too as he’s a real steady influence and smashing PB’s himself but most importantly a great training partner.🤩✅

Big improvement for Nick Turner at Harrock Hill last night.👌🏻💪🏻⭐️
8th overall and 2nd V40 with a massive 1min 47s improvement over the 5.2 miles in 35:00.
Great to see the consistency and dedication and looking forward to more improvements over 5 and 10km.✅😊

Well done to the legends of masters running Anne Gilshinan and David Clarke at the NI masters Champs.

Anne with a championship record win in the W60 800m and outdoor season opener in 2:27.90.👏🏻👏🏻🥇💥🚀

Davy with the double 800/1500 and awarded his NI masters athlete of the year award too.🏆🥇🥇💥🚀

Grateful to be coaching such dedicated, disciplined and amazing people.👌🏻✅🙌🏻

Last night at the Scottish Veterans Harriers 5km Road Champs in Clydebank Kev Campbell excelled to win emphatically with a front running display that may be a Scottish native record in the intense heat.🤞🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥇
His run of 13:50 was befitting of the work and training he has put in consistently over a long time and slight frustration to not get an invite to get among the other elites in the British Champs 5000m at the weekend.
Making hay while the sunshine’s (literally) and in typical Kev fashion to give it a lash.

2 big goals achieved this year sub 29 for 10km and sub 14 for 5km road and a call up again for Scotland in Antrim half in August too.

One more go at the Pursuit 5km track race in Stirling to come.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Celebrate and enjoy the work and the outcomes usually follow. 🚀🎯

Well done on making the English Schools Champs for Lancashire.👌🏻⭐️
Last year to make it as a senior boy and progressed well this year.💪🏻💪🏻

Run Cheshire Colshaw Hall 10km today for Terry Fearns Tom Mattack and Victoria Ellison with some fantastic breakthrough runs.
Terry making big strides and an 80s PB in 40:32 and Tom with the exact same time and in prep before his marathon block to come.🥳✅💪🏻⭐️💥🤩
Vickie runs a 33s PB and is knocking on the sub 40 door with 40:06.🥳✅💪🏻⭐️💥🤩

So proud of the training and dedication the trio put in and days like this should be celebrated.😁👊🏻
