Introducing our instructor Thanos

My name is Thanos and I started training martial arts at the age of 9, beginning with Karate where I earned my black belt, then moving on to kick boxing. As I got older and more committed to the Dojo, I naturally took on a teaching role and spent four years as a teaching assistant. During that time, I started to appreciate the fitness side of martial arts, focusing on bodyweight excersises and running, it served me well when it was time to complete my military national service in Greece, where I joined the Army Rangers.

Shortly after finishing my national service I moved to the UK and aspired to join the Parachute Regiment Reserve. That is where I met Lee, whilst I was still a recruit. Naturally the conversation would drift towards martial arts, so Lee offered me the opportunity to coach in BMMA as long as if I complete training to become a Paratrooper and his Instructors course. Arguably two of the hardest courses I have participated in.
