One of the biggest hurdles that’s holding people back from starting their fitness journey and making the progress they want is gym anxiety.
It’s normal to feel like everyone is watching you or that you don’t fully know what you’re doing and maybe that you don’t belong.
But the more you go, and get out of your comfort zone, the sooner you’ll be able to get over this feeling.
Here are some things that can help you in that starting phase:
- Go with a friend
- Go at off peak hours
- Have a plan for the workout
- Watch helpful videos before you go
- Try different things
- Don’t take it too serious or be harsh on yourself
Even when you feel uncomfortable, just keep on showing up because eventually the feeling goes away.
