Littlehampton Badminton and Squash Club Littlehampton Badminton and Squash Club The main sports have been badminton and squash, but more recently table tennis has become popular with day-time members.

Littlehampton Badminton & Squash Club has been in the town for over 75 years, offering members the opportunity to enjoy a range of sports and social activities. In addition, the Club has carpet bowls, a pool table, 2 table tennis tables and darts available for members in the lounge and bar areas. In the last five years, the Club has, with the support of Badminton England, achieved major investment

from Sport England, to enable the rebuilding of the badminton hall to make it one of the best in south-east England. We have also refurbished our squash courts and have plans to add heating to two of the courts to enhance play through the winter. The Club encourages members to play both socially and in teams, which compete in local leagues. There are regular club nights and morning clubs for all abilities to enjoy their games. The Club has worked with Badminton England to achieve “Clubmark” Premier Club status, and has plans to follow a similar route with England Squash & Racketball. We are the centre for the Community Badminton Network, promoted by Badminton England, which aims to get more people playing the game. We welcome anyone who would like to play to come along to see the Club and try the facilities. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time.

What a night! Shuffleboard last night went off with a bang with the event being sold out again. Well done to the winning team ‘What a Kershuffle’, who won with a score of 599 for the 6 rounds and an average round score of 99.8! 🏆 If you want to join us for our next Shuffleboard event on 20th June, please buy your tickets early to secure a place! 🎟️

Club member Will Hilton-Jackson was selected to play badminton for England against Scotland in the McCoig cup, winning his singles match for the O35s team and helping England beat Scotland overall. Club members Mitsy Kondo and Sara Foster were also selected to play for England.

Will then played in the York Masters Gold tournament over the weekend. He won gold in the singles, silver in the men’s doubles with his partner Ian Woolway and gold with club member Hannah Seagraves.

Mitsy also won a silver in the over 45s singles at York.

Congratulations are in order for Mitzy who won the Middlesex Masters Over 40 singles and Over 35 Ladies doubles with her partner Payal at the weekend. Mark Bishop and Kevin Williams also did brilliantly on Sunday by coming second in the over 60 men’s doubles at the Middlesex Masters. At the Gatwick CSBC senior silver tournament Hannah seagraves came 2nd in the ladies doubles with Lucy Satterford from Hampshire and 2nd in the Mixed doubles with Will Hillton- Jackson. Will Hilton-Jackson also came 2nd in the men’s doubles! Well done everyone 👏
