ERIC ASHWORTH TROPHY
Another wonderfull turnout for this popular internal event. Zoe's enforced absence recently has done nothing to diminish her skills on the green as she brilliantly pipped the excellent Craig Wood in a nail-biting final.
Huge thanks to Howard for masterminding a great afternoon and for the support of the Asworth family and club members..
I'm sure I noticed Carol's tree on the back green break into a smile!!

Lottery Update
The jackpot fell on Saturday. The lucky winner being John Howard who walks away £210 wealthier. Expectations that he may now treat his mates to a brew are over-optimistic!
A new lottery draw begins next Saturday with all advanxe payments being carried forward.

LOTTERY UPDATE
Saturday was week 10 of the current lottery and still without a winner. Being week 10, a lot of punters are due subs before next Saturday including players wanting only 1 or 2 numbers. We would not normally pay out a winner in arrears of subs

Another outstanding performance by Malcolm in winning the county Veterans competition only to be robbed of the opportunity to compete in the national finals. Nevertheless it was a great event enjoyed by players and spectators alike and well done again on the catering front by Angela!!!

Both Rochdale vets fixtures against Ladybarn today have been cancelled and re-arranged to take place on Tuesday 23rd June. These changes have been made on Bowlsnet

MERITS CANCELLATION
The following message received from Jim Barton
Hi all,

Apologies for the late notice, but due to the weather warning, of extreme heat, for tomorrow afternoon, the committee has decided to postpone tomorrow’s qualifying rounds at Ladybarn and Lanctan. We have made this decision with players’ health foremost in our concerns, so could you please inform all your players.

The committee will meet in the next few weeks to discuss options for rescheduling the competition,

Little change this week as most of the numbers have come out previously. Sue Bishop, Sue Gibson and Janet Wakeling are sweating on 1 number and 7 punters on 2 numbers as the jackpot reaches £170!!!!

The details for the qualifying round of the Vets Individual Handicap is below. Start time is 1:30pm and players must register with an official before this time. If anyone is delayed, they must contact an official on the numbers below. The draw will be made, at each green, prior to the start of the competition, all games 21 up, individual handicaps apply as shown below.
