2025 marks Boughton Lodge’s 40th Birthday!🎉 Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, we threw the party of all parties for our members and their guests to celebrate the amazing club that is Boughton Lodge! We cannot thank everyone enough for coming all to celebrate and make our 40th birthday a special one! It was a full-on weekend filled with fun, laughter and lots and lots of happy faces!

We had it all! Children’s comp, slalom comp, paddle-board night along with a club BBQ, glow tent, water zorbs, large inflatables, bouncy castles, garden games, coffee van, fish and chip van and ending the night with some fabulous live music and a good old dance.

We are always on the lookout for new members so please share us and tell all your friends about us! If you think Boughton Lodge is the place for you, email us, we’d love to show you around!

Here’s to another 40 years of the best waterski and wakeboard club in the country!🥳

2025 marks Boughton Lodge Water Sports Club’s 40th Birthday!

We are very excited to be holding a celebration of 40 years of Boughton Lodge on Saturday 23rd August & Sunday 24th August 2025

A weekend full of activities, fun, food, drinks and live music has been planned and we do hope that as many of you as possible will be able to enjoy the birthday celebrations.

Member’s will be able to enjoy everything we have planned free of charge! (With the exception of the ice cream van).
Guests are more than welcome to join us for the weekend; however we ask that guests to the club pay £10 per day to enjoy all that is on offer.

Tickets/QR codes will be needed to partake in the celebrations, you will not be able to turn up without a ticket. Ticket options can be found on the website. Every individual needs their own ticket/QR code for each day; group tickets are not available. This includes members, even though the cost is free, you still need to register. This is to allow us to get a good estimation of numbers prior to the event to ensure we have enough food for everyone. Please book as early as you can to help us out!

NO TICKET = NO PARTY

We cannot wait for everyone to come and enjoy the weekend with us!

It is with great sadness that we heard today that Barry Odell, a long term and founder member of Boughton Lodge Water Sports Club, passed away on Wednesday 25th September aged 83 after a long illness.

As a club we owe Barry a huge amount as without him the club would probably never have existed! 39 years ago the land agents contacted the federation looking at the possibility of forming a water sports club in Little Paxton. In his role as the development officer for the federation and chair of the Eastern Regions committee, Barry worked tirelessly with the landowners to create a lease and the forming of Boughton Lodge Water Sports Club.

Congratulations to Felicity Bews for winning this year’s Sunday Morning Slalom Competition!🥳🎉👏🏻

After a tense final and a lot of close battles, the final 3 were crowned!

A big thank you to all the drivers, judges and supporters who have helped out this year! A special thanks must go to Graham Murphy for organising the event again this year!

This is a handicapped event and gives all participants an equal chance of winning. If anyone else would like to join the competition next year, speak to Graham or look out for our social media posts and emails at the start of next season!

I would like to remind you that this coming Sunday 1st September, is the head to head final. Starting at 10.00am south course viewing dock.

This is a handicapped event. Come along and watch its a good opportunity to see and meet the slalom skiers.
