✉️ Enquires - [email protected] Now into its first full season of publication, A Life In Orange devotes its time finding the best stories from the marshalling world. It will also be seeking out the great characters of this hobby and bringing you their stories. Soon it will be running a section of the website which is all about "Your Track" and why every marshal should come and give it a visit. Most of them are volunteers who give up their weekends so then drivers and teams can go racing. The "Orange Family" as they are sometimes referred to are essential for all forms of Motorsport to exist. True heroes of the racetrack, you will always see a marshal laughing and smiling and you won't meet anyone more enthusiastic about racing.

There is something dramatic when a car arrives at your post on fire.

Everything seems to slow down and you know you need to act quickly.

In a dramatic scene, a moment of relative calm from marshals deal with the fire and bring it all under control. All the training, combined with the numerous days of experience on the bank showed through in this.

When Sienna started marshalling in the assembly area with her dad, Ian, she thought he would know how it works.

The Power of the Pork Pie 🥧

A few people have asked what is meant when a pork pie is mentioned - so here is a post to clear up the racing legend.

Here’s how the legend goes. 🧡

A pork pie (once consumed) has the ability to attract cars to the nearest gravel trap, barrier or incident.

Sometimes in the most spectacular fashion.

When someone produces a pork pie on post there is a collective intake of breath and an anticipation of what is about to happen next.

Is it all a load of rubbish or is their truth behind it? 🤔
