Brands hatch finale 🏁
Testing➡️Friday’s testing sessions brought a mix of wet and drying conditions, providing valuable track time for the team to fine-tune the Civic’s setup. Despite the changing grip levels, Ben made excellent progress throughout the sessions, improving his lap times exploring the car’s limits. The team left testing confident that the pace was there for qualifying. After a quick check ready for the weekend we found a pin hole in the fuel line
Qualifying➡️Ben got off to a great start in qualifying, finding clean air early in the session and setting a series of competitive laps. Unfortunately, a red flag halted his rhythm, and when the session resumed, he struggled to find space for a final flying lap. Ben secured 13th on the grid, giving MWB Motorsport a solid platform for the opening race.
Race 1➡️Starting from 13th, Ben made an excellent getaway, quickly moving up to 9th in the opening lap. However, while battling hard in the midfield, he was tapped from behind, sending the MWB Civic into the barrier. Showing great determination, Ben rejoined and recovery drove to finish 20th. It wasn’t the result the team had hoped for, but the pace shown early on was a clear positive
Race 2➡️Lining up 20th for the final race of the weekend, Ben and MWB Motorsport bounced back in style. A lightning start saw Ben climb to 15th within the opening lap, before a period of yellow flags caused confusion through the field. Keeping his focus forward, Ben delivered his strongest performance of the weekend, fighting through to finish 13th after a clean, consistent drive.
