The late afternoon summer/Early Autumn light🌅🍁
A dog walk of solitude & reflection🐿️🐾🙏🌳
When I slow down, yield into the rhythm of walking…I look all around me…taking note of everything I see.
This is where I can really truly begin to feel what it is to be present in my own body.
Out of my ‘doing’ & ‘trying’ VERY excited 😜brain.
Grounding to allow the Earth to travel up through me…as to feel a little springy and relaxed.
Accepting that not all will be calm …and roses 🌹 all the time either..
Those ‘pauses’ in between really do matter. To simply cultivate a relationship with ourselves, to settle with just ‘being’ instead of always doing. An uncomfortable place for so many modern humans where we spend our days in ‘high alert’ mode. 😳
Moving my body in many directions without an ‘end goal’ keeps me inherently alive. It is my medicine, therapy and it’s non negotiable.
Walking, yoga & when I sing or strum my guitar..brings many deep insights, feelings, emotions 😌
I feel the changing season when I am listening & with each year passing this becomes clearer to me.
When I create space, allow for kind attention …then ‘the old ways’ become more smooth & accepting
BUT….Never easy as habits hold on to you deeply into our whole being.
Like those mental impressions, the places that keep us stuck.
In yoga philosophy these can be known as Samskaras. ( although not always negative depending on the context.)
Notice how your body moves & reacts today but approach with self kindness.
Can you open softly to a different space, an invitation to move with natures rhythm 🌳🐿️
We definitely aren’t separate as we have been lead to believe. 🌅
😌🙏❤️
