These surveys are only available on site, so if you spot one on your next walk, consider scanning the QR code or fill out a paper version to help us make your visits even better. Plus, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a £100 South West Lakes Trust voucher! 🎟️

Monday: Open for the Bank Holiday for all hire and launch activities!

🦎 Check out this fabulous entry from our 2025 Love Your Lakes Photography Competition!

Submitted to the Young Explorers category by Esmay Burley, it shows a common lizard at Fernworthy Reservoir.

On a sunny day, keep an eye out for these little creatures basking on rocks or stone walls around our grounds. But you have to be quick—they move fast!

A huge well done to Esmay for capturing such a brilliant shot. 📸

Volunteer Opportunity: Join the PEDAL project at Siblyback! 🌿

South West Lakes Trust is looking for volunteers to join PEDAL, prediction and early detection of algal blooms in lakes and reservoirs, a pioneering Citizen Science project funded by Ofwat.

What You'll Do:
💧 Carry out data sampling at Siblyback Lake.
🧪 Test new equipment to help evaluate user experience.
⛔️ Help forecast and manage harmful algal blooms before they become a problem!

Ready for some incredible views tomorrow? 🌌

Many of our South West Lakes Trust grounds offer prime seats for two amazing astronomical shows Wednesday evening! Catch the partial solar eclipse from around 6.15pm to 8pm and then the stunning Perseid meteor shower peak later into the night. ☄️

Pack a blanket, bring your eclipse glasses and spend a magical evening under the stars! 💫
