Lisburn Sub Aqua Club Lisburn Sub Aqua Club, affiliated to BSAC, is made up of an enthusiastic, diverse and inclusive group of Scuba Divers.

Get in touch to find out how to get started exploring a new under water world! We’ve just celebrated our 52nd Anniversary in 2022 and dive nearly every weekend, all year round. There’s mid-week diving during the summer too. The Club is family friendly (minumum age for membership is 14) and normally meet on a Tuesday and Thursday evening in our club rooms beside the Lagan Valley Leisureplex. We hav

e access to the swimming pool for an hour, when training, on Tuesday nights from 9.30pm

Our diving tends to take place all around the Northern Irish coast, and we regularly organise expeditions away. Over the last few years we have organised trips to Scapa Flow, Isle of Man, the Red Sea, Tenerife and Arranmore.

Ever looked closely at the ocean and realised it’s quietly full of the extraordinary?

This spiral ribbon is a cluster of nudibranch eggs — laid by one of the sea’s most vibrant and often overlooked creatures. Each delicate coil can contain thousands of tiny embryos, drifting toward becoming some of the most colourful marine life you’ll ever see beneath the surface.

Nudibranchs might be small, but they’re a reminder of why we dive — not just for the big moments, but for the intricate, hidden details that make the underwater world so fascinating.

Next time you’re diving, slow down. Look closer. You never know what you might find.
