🏓 U13 Squad Session | Lisburn Racquets Club

A look back at last weekend's excellent U13 squad session, where 30 of our talented young players took to the tables at Lisburn Racquets for a productive day of training.

Sincere thanks to our coaches Jennifer, Alex, and Frank, supported by junior player Isaac, for their dedication in developing the next generation of Ulster table tennis talent.

The commitment, focus, and enthusiasm on display from our young athletes was outstanding — a real credit to themselves, their families, and our clubs across the province. 👏

There are a lot of people to thank for the success of the event. Thanks to Kingfisher Financial for their continued sponsorship of Ulster Primary Schools’ Table Tennis. Thanks to the team that set up the Hall on Monday morning, for without them no tournament would have been possible.- thanks Arnold, Alex, Gary and Simon.

Also thanks to my top table of James Sterling, Michael Allen and Simon Gough who recorded all results and to the monitors who ensured all matches were played without undue delay – well done Sandra, Alex, Francis, Arnold, Gary and Robin. And thanks to the person who bought the top table coffee - much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the take down of tables etc ensuring the organisers could sit down for a well-deserved coffee before embarking on their long journeys home.

It was great to have both the Chair and President of TTI Arnold Morgan and Alan Strong at the event, highlighting the importance that the governing body holds for this event – for these players are the future of the sport in Ireland. And thanks to TTU for the purchase of 6 new tables that ensured the event was completed by 3pm as scheduled.

Finally a huge thanks to all the teachers and parents who took time out of their busy schedules to bring the players to this wonderful venue that is to be the home of Ulster Schools’ Table Tennis for the foreseeable future.

See you next year

Table Tennis for All — Portrush Yacht Club Charity Event 🏓❤️

Before Christmas, we held a fantastic disability table tennis event at Portrush Yacht Club, and what a night it was!

Players of all abilities came together for a brilliant evening of table tennis, fun and community spirit. The atmosphere was incredible and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the sport.

We're delighted to share that an amazing £1,790 was raised on the night for Sailability, a charity that does incredible work getting disabled people out on the water. What a cause to support!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, helped organise the event, and donated so generously. Nights like these show the power of sport to bring people together and make a real difference.
