Meteor Waterski & Wakeboard Club Founded in 1960, Meteor Waterski Club Ltd is based on Lough Henney, about 20 minutes drive from Belfast. Our season runs from April through to September.

Founded in 1960 and incorporated as Limited Company NI650140 on 9th January 2018, Meteor Waterski Club Ltd is based on Lough Henney, County Down in Northern Ireland, about 20 minutes drive from Belfast, and is made up of members who share an interest in waterskiing and wakeboarding. The club boasts a private lake to ensure safe and uni

nterrupted skiing for members and visitors. Our world class towboat is in constant use from May to September with an experienced driver on duty every evening during the week and afternoons at the weekend. We now also have a full-time driver during the busy summer months so that members can get out on the water on mid-week afternoons. The lake facilities include national ranking slalom and jump courses for tournament skiers. The lake facilities include slalom and jump courses for tournament skiers. Our tow boat is a Nautique 200, with a separate ballast system and high-fly pole for wakeboarding. Our on shore facilities include a permanent club house with changing facilities including hot showers, a lounge area and kitchen area. The clubhouse's lakeside setting is an ideal place to sit, enjoy a barbecue and relax before heading out on the water - there's no better way to unwind on a warm summer evening! The club has all the equipment necessary for beginner skiers no matter what discipline they choose, including wakeboarding, and there are always members willing to give you a few tips on how to improve. Meteor's excellent waterskiing and wakeboarding facilities can be rented out during the season on weekend mornings and mid-week mornings and afternoons. This is a great way for a group of friends or colleagues to take advantage of Meteor's close proximity to both Belfast and Lisburn and get out on our private lake to waterski, slalom ski, wakeboard or whatever you want to try! It's also a great way to enjoy a hot summer afternoon on a 'team building' work day out! Renting the club can be a nice way of getting out behind our club boat on our private lake. An alternative for smaller groups is to come down during Open Skiing time where non-members have an opportunity to ski or wakeboard, however Open Ski times are on a first-come first-served basis and can be very busy whereas a rental guarantees sole use. Meteor Waterski Club is located about a 20 minute drive south of Belfast, just off the main Belfast to Newcastle Road between Carryduff and Ballynahinch, near the village of Boardmills.
