We are delighted to announce the signing of Jamie Stewart. A strong ball playing centre half with lots of experience at intermediate level having previously played at Hannover, Fivemiletown and Moneyslane. We are looking forward to seeing Jamie play in the up coming season.

It all comes down to this, after a particularly long season for the reserves this Wednesday night will draw the curtain on what could be a historic night for the club. Should the Reserves win on Wednesday evening they will be crowned champions of Reserve 1!

Another big game for the reserves which started with a common pattern of the last few game with Mills coming out of the traps fast and piling on pressure for an early goal. After a few half chances here and there Maze opened the scoring through Deedee who remained a constant threat in the opening period. Jordan Pegg double the score line with a goal shortly after which was a well placed free kick to continue Jordan’s great run of form. Maze dominated the first half and things went from bad to worse for the visitors who received a red card

The second half was a non event although credit must go to the Maze back line who remained switched on under minimal pressure and dealt with everything that came their way . After a few chances here and there the only real talking point was a penalty awarded to Maze which was calmly slotted home by Luke Pegg!

All in all a professional nights work for the reserves who know exactly what’s on the line next week as they travel to Newmills for the last game of the season

A hard day on the road for the reserves who started the match flying out of the traps and exerting a lot of early pressure on the hosts and reigning champions . Maze found the breakthrough when Jordan Pegg opened the scoring and shortly after doubled his tally and The Mills lead. What happened next was not fitting of the opening period of the game, Mills seem to take the foot off the gas and found themselves 2-2 at half time.

After a gee up at the half Mills struggled to find the foothold on the game that the opening 25 minutes showed and credit to Valley to took the lead. Maze huffed and puffed and found an equaliser through Josh. Maze started to then show some dominance creating 3 or 4 really good opportunities which really should have been converted and on another day gives a different outlook to the game which ended 3-3. Ultimately a disappointing day for the reserves who would have hoped to be going into this Wednesday game knowing a win would seal a league title , however it’s far from over with 2 games left starting this Wednesday!

A big game at the Bog Road which in the first half was a fiery affair with neither side taking no half measures in challenges and duels. It was the home side who had much of the early play and who found the lead through Alex. The first half continued at a high tempo with chances for both teams failing to land however Maze doubled their lead not long before half time through Jordan Pegg who has hit great goal scoring form at a crucial point of the year

The second half never quite lived up to the tempo of the first half, perhaps understandable with The Mills having had 2 games a week for the last 3 weeks however it was once again the home sided that seized the initiative and give themselves a 3 goal led through Ryan Beckett after a few crosses he was there to head home. The game became very flat after the third with chances few and far between but Josh McKee done well after some nice football to draw a foul in the box and Maze were awarded a penalty which Luke Pegg calmly slotted home to put the cherry on a big result and performance for the reserves who now require 2 wins from their last 3 games to be crowned champions.
