London Open 2026

One of the best competitions I’ve done, right up there with last year’s World Championships.

I could write a whole thing about it, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter because I’m just so fu***ng proud of myself for this weekend.

I finally got rid of what was holding me back.

The 40kg clean had been a massive head f**k for months, & the prep was probably the worst it’s ever been 😂

This was my first proper run-out with the 40kg clean in competition. Because doing a pent in the gym is one thing, doing it in competition is a different story.

Clips show the last few seconds of each lift because let’s face it that’s when the Devil comes & sits on your shoulder 😅

💪🏻 I fu***ng did it. I crushed it. I owned it. I also died 😂

Those last reps were hard, but they were fu***ng incredible. A lot of people know how much the comp matter to me to get my confidence back & the support to get me across the line from those at the competition to those watching from home was insane 🫶

I finally got rid of what was holding me back. And I fu***ng owned it.

1st place in my category. 🥇

SO fu***ng proud of myself.

Posting this photo makes me nervous🙈

I don’t love it.

I saw the stretch marks.
I saw my legs.
I saw the things I still don’t particularly love.

But I also saw a woman who was fu***ng happy.

And that’s something I wouldn’t have allowed myself to be years ago.

I was over 20 stone. A size 24 didn’t fit me.

I remember when I first started going out with my now husband, being terrified to get into his car because my legs didn’t fit in the seat; the fat spilling over towards the gear stick 🫪

That’s how much I hated my body.

And yes, losing weight was the goal.

Until it became toxic.
Until the scales started dictating my happiness.

Eventually I realised I wanted more than just being smaller.

I wanted to be strong. Fit. Capable.

I wanted to run. Lift heavy s**t. Compete. Travel. Wear a bikini. Eat ice cream. And just fu***ng enjoy my life.

And that’s what I’ve spent the last couple of years proving.

My body can do more than one thing.

So no, I don’t love every single thing I see in this photo.

But I respect the f**k out of this body.

And these legs?

They’re fu***ng fit for purpose 🖤🧡

❌Being Fit & Strong won’t make you happy…

BUT being unfit will STEAL a hell of a lot from your life.

🙋‍♀️I know that because I’ve lived both sides.

I used to let the scales dictate my mood, diet before holidays & cry cause clothes didn’t fit, avoid photos & mirrors, I hated what I saw! 👀

🙌🙌🙌Now I just fu***ng live.

And that freedom is worth more to me than I words will ever explain.

One thing I’ve learned along the way?

Who you invest in matters.

If you’re going to invest in someone to help you become the person you want to be, choose someone who has done what you want to do …. AND IS STILL DOING IT.

Because watching someone still push, still learn & still strive to be better gives you INSPIRATION on the days you don’t feel like you can.

“F**k. They’re still pushing. So can I.”

Unpopular Fact 👇

You don’t need more motivation.
Your behaviours need to match your goal.

❌You can’t just commit to the outcome.

✅You have to commit to the behaviours that create it.

👉Want to lose weight?
The behaviours have to support fat loss.

👉Want to get stronger?
You have to strength train.

👉Want to improve your fitness?
You have to consistently train.

🔥And when life gets messy, that’s when this matters most.

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to do everything.

🖤But you do need to be honest

⁉️Are your current behaviours actually aligned with the result you say you want?

Because when the behaviours change, the results change.

❌And when the behaviours aren’t there, the expectation has to change too.

✌️Goals don’t create results.
Consistent behaviours do. 👊🏼

Unpopular opinion…Doing the reps doesn’t mean you’re making progress 🙈

Pull-ups. Squats. Deadlifts. Presses. Etc.

I’ve never been interested in simply getting the reps done.

I’m interested in making every rep better.

Better range.
Better control.
Better positioning.
Better ex*****on.
And, of course, under load.

Because if you’re going to the effort of doing the bloody exercise anyway…

You may as well get the gains from it.

Half reps. Sh*tty reps. Rushed reps, overly assisted reps, to tick a box, stroke your ego, or let your PT make you feel like you’re progressing?

Nah… not for me.

Don’t just work out. Train with purpose. Make it count.

Quality over quantity. Every time. 🔥

Last weekend, recovery was at its finest 🫶

After a few good conversations this week, I’ve realised I probably don’t recognise just how much I’m asking of myself.

Hard training on top of running a business, family, social life…etc, it all adds up. It’s easy to miss the mental drain and the effect it can have on your training.

So, still training hard. Still performing well. Better actually.

Just putting a bit more value on recovery & switching off.

Quality over quantity, always.
