This will be a great fun way to introduce your kids to functional fitness. The classes will be fun, high energy and your kids are guaranteed to enjoy themselves, whilst also burning off lots of energy. All of the exercises and movements will be child friendly, we'll have two coaches taking each class.

This is your chance, donโ€™t worry about whether youโ€™ve been to the gym before, whether your fit or not, whether your strong enough. This course is designed for absolute beginners, all you need to do is make sure to show up ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

This course is the perfect way to learn the foundational movements used in CrossFit. As well as learning lots, each class will also finish with a great workout. ๐Ÿ˜…

Monday 7th August 2023

The course runs for 3 weeks with two evening sessions each week. A 4th week of unlimited classes is also included.

Monday and Wednesday evening, 8-9pm.

1. ๐Œ๐ž๐ž๐ญ ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐ž ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐ž๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฅ๐ค.
People were created for human connection, the social and community aspect of CrossFit is often one of the main reasons people stay engaged in regular training. The encouragement and push from the community around you is like nothing else.

2. ๐๐จ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ฌ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ญ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ.
A recent study showed the CrossFit way of training will lead to improved fitness much quicker than traditional gym methods. After collecting and analyzing data on heart rate, VO2 max, max heart rate, calories burned and other variables, the researchers concluded that CrossFit works better than traditional workouts due to the higher demands on the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems.

3. ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ค๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐จ๐๐ฒ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐›๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐ ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ . CrossFit is constantly varied, no day will be the same or even feel the same. Doing the same exercises every time you go to the gym without ever changing your routine won't provide the necessary stimulus to keep getting faster, stronger and better.

4. ๐Ž๐ง๐ž ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎโ€™๐ซ๐ž ๐๐จ๐ง๐ž. Short but effective training. High intensity training forms the foundation of CrossFit, it is more effective than low or moderate intensity exercise and improving both cardiovascular fitness and body composition. Much easier to fit into a busy week.

Using well known CrossFit benchmark workouts you can measure performance year on year by repeating these workouts. *Only two athletes in each team will be required to complete high level skilled movements.

Movement Standards

Intermediate standards will be T2B, Pull ups, Double unders and normal prescribed weights e.g. 30/40KG Thrusters, single Dumbell 15/22.5KG.

RX standards - advanced gymnastics such as ring/bar muscle ups, hspu, chest to bar pull ups, heavier weights e.g. 40/60KG thrusters/snatch, dual DB etc.

Fitness standards - bodyweight movements, light weights. No gymnastics or olympic lifts.

Competition is open to both members and non-members.

Location: Boundary Belfast

Team members can be substitued up to 1 week prior to the competition. Workouts will be released over a two week period prior to the competition.

If previously competed as an RX athlete then you are asked to sign up to an RX team.
