A fantastic opening morning at Baronscourt Estate with breakfast, bag pipes and whiskey.

A tad on the high side for the beat today and rain on from 11am. I know of 2 fresh 2026 salmon from Sion Mills Angling Club waters so congrats to the anglers.

Here’s to a what will hopefully be a great 2026 for fishing on the River Mourne.

‼️ 70’s STOCKED INTO THE AVENUE ‼️
Yesterday we witnessed the best stocking of carp this country has ever seen… We stocked 2 x 70lb+ fish into The Avenue with the biggest being 77lb 08oz! The common in the picture above tipped the scales around to a colossal 71lb 08oz, not only is it immaculately proportioned and got huge potential to grow much bigger it’s simply stunning! We also stocked 31 fish between 25lb - 35lb into The Avenue! We also stocked some HUGE fish into Patshull Park Lakes (also 93 fish between 25lb - 35lb), The Monument Lakes, Acton Burnell Top Lake and The Mere… most of these will be showcased in Patshull Park EP3, we will also publicise some of these over the coming weeks!
