Rustington 2-2 Lingfield Lionesses ❤️💛

A hard-fought point on the road today after a game of two halves.

We weren't at our best in the first half but stayed in the fight thanks to a moment of magic from Charlotte, who spotted the keeper off her line and produced a brilliant lob from distance!

The message at half-time was simple: compete, play football and raise our standards.

The girls responded brilliantly. We battled across the pitch, won our duels and started playing some fantastic football. Lollie then pulled us level after causing problems all game, firing in a shot the keeper couldn't keep out

We pushed hard for a winner and while it didn't come, I thought we were the stronger side in the second half and fully deserved the point.

LINGFIELD U16s v HASSOCKS FALCONS

Our first home game of the season and the boys certainly came out looking the part in their brand-new kits!

A huge thank you to Jahan at Tarana for continuing to support the boys and sponsor us for another season. We really appreciate your support and it means a lot to the team. ❤️💛

After last week’s defeat, we knew we needed to step things up and show some fighting spirit, and that’s exactly what we did in the first half.

The boys controlled the game well, with Cam, Tom, Max and Charlie C all having chances on goal. We created plenty of opportunities but just couldn’t find the finish to get the ball in the back of the net.

The second half was a little more challenging. At times we got drawn into Hassocks’ style of play and played too much ball in the air. When we did get the ball down and played our football, we looked much better, but we perhaps tried too hard to force the goal and made things more difficult for ourselves.

There are definitely positives to take from today. If we can take last week’s second-half performance and this week’s first-half performance into our future games, we know the results will come.

⭐️ MAN OF THE MATCH ⭐️

A well-deserved Man of the Match went to our centre-back Tommy, who put in a brilliant defensive performance with some strong, last-ditch tackles to keep us in the game.

Well done boys, keep working, keep believing and the goals will come!

Lingfield u14 Panthers v Ashurst Wood junior u14 Tornadoes

A fantastic game from Lingfield u14 panthers today. Imperious from the start with it showing in the 9-0 win.

Oz opened the scoring with Dom doubling the lead before Oz followed up two more before half time to get his hat trick seeing Lingfield go in the 2nd half 4-0 up.

A change of shape after the break enabled a trial of new ideas and Louis showed his class with the goal of the game on 41 mins, curling a shot from the left wing round the diving keeper. Charlie, moved from centre back to striker, netted a magnificent four goals from here, earning him man of the match, before the full time whistle prevented the boys reaching double digits.

Although the scoreline favours the attacking players this was a true team effort with Alfie,cat like in goal, ensuring a clean sheet, Rory G breaking up every attempt by the opposition like a young Roy Keane and a constantly changing defensive line working together like a well oiled machine.
The team saw a return of player favourite Matthew back from injury which lifted spirits further and topped off a great day.

The team wanted to dedicate the win to club secretary Laura for all the unsung work she’s put in getting everyone registered ready for another year of grassroots football.

Lingfield U15s 7-1 Southwater Royals U15s Red

A second consecutive win at Talbot Road — and another impressive performance from the boys on a beautiful sunny morning.

After last week’s 4–1 victory, the question was whether Lingfield could maintain their winning record at their new home. They certainly did, although Southwater started brightly and took the lead after 12 minutes. A speedy attacker won a free kick, which was excellently delivered and beat Kellen to make it 1–0.

Lingfield responded brilliantly. A great corner from Tyler caused problems in the Southwater defence, with the ball finding its way into the net to bring Lingfield level.

At 24 minutes, Henley received a lovely through ball and calmly slotted it into the bottom corner to put Lingfield ahead. Minutes later, Dan picked the ball up around the edge of the centre circle, drove forward and unleashed a powerful effort that was too strong for the keeper. 3–1.

Three minutes into the second half, Lewis hit the woodwork, but less than a minute later Tyler’s first-touch strike found the back of the net to make it 4–1.

The sun may have disappeared during the second half, but Lingfield’s performance only got brighter. Nine minutes in, another well-delivered corner found Tate’s foot in the six-yard box, although the final touch was credited as an own goal to make it 5–1.

The sixth followed as Lingfield continued to dominate and Dan got his 2nd complete a comprehensive 7-1 victory.

There was still work for Kellen to do late on, and he produced another excellent moment by saving a Southwater penalty to preserve the scoreline.

⭐ Man of the Match: Louis

Another strong team performance, with Tate and Tyler both having very good games, while David produced some moments of brilliance.

Two games at Talbot Road, two wins, and 11 goals scored in the process. A very promising start to life at the new home. 👏⚽

*Lionesses with a statement win to start the league season. 🔴🟡*

The Lionesses opened their campaign with a deserved 4-0 victory away at Chichester, built on hard work, discipline and a real togetherness across the pitch.

Defensively, the team were outstanding. From front to back, every player put in the hard yards, won their battles and worked for each other. The back line held a superb shape throughout and showed great organisation, while the midfield controlled the game, linked play brilliantly and never stopped running.

With several players still building fitness and carrying knocks, the commitment and attitude shown by every player was exceptional. Everyone stepped up, adapted to changes and gave everything for the badge.

Lingfield U14s kicked off the new season with a well-deserved 1-1 draw away at Loxwood.

On a surprisingly warm morning, the players battled from the first minute to the last.

Despite Loxwood taking the lead midway through the second half with a fortuitous shot, Lingfield kept on playing and got their just desserts when a cross from Oz was moved on by Brandon to Dylan, who slotted a lovely left footed shot into the far corner. In recognition of the collective effort!

⭐️ Players of the match this week were Teddy, Rory G and Charlie, though every member of the team should feel proud of the effort they put in.

On to next Saturday for game week 2!

Lingfield U15 Eagles 4–1 Ashington U15s 🦅

A fantastic first fixture at our new Talbot Road home! The boys put in a dominant performance on a beautiful sunny morning, controlling the game from start to finish.

Great team play led to some excellent goals, with Henley, Paddy, Tate & Dan all on the scoresheet.

⭐ Man of the Match: Tate, who capped a strong all-round display with a brilliant goal.

Kellen also made a crucial save to keep Ashington at bay, while Sam came close from the penalty spot.

A brilliant first outing at Talbot Road — 4–1 winners and plenty to build on!
