Another lockdown so unfortunately we still can't open.

Here is a free mini lesson for those training at home.

The lead hook to the body and head.

Push off the ground with your lead leg and rotate your hips then shoulder towards the target.

You can pivot on the ball of lead foot for more power but this does leave the front knee exposed to low kicks.

Keep your punching arm bent at about a right angle and inline with your shoulder.

Punch through the target and bring your hand back to the guard position. The back hand stays in the guard position the whole time.

For short hooks have your palm facing towards you for longer hooks have your palm facing down.

Statistically every 35.4 minutes a murder happens, every 6.2 minutes a r**e happens, a robbery takes place every 1.5 minutes, every 41.5 seconds an assault happens and every 26 seconds a violent crime takes place.

So many of these crimes could have been prevented if the victims knew how to protect themselves.

This is the second attack on a young woman in Lincoln in the last couple of weeks. Stay safe! Situational awareness is the most important part of self defence.
