All hooks are precisely hand sharpened and then fitted with our own Point Protectors. We will coat the points of any hook you order from us if requested, free of charge, but coated hooks will NOT be fitted with our point protectors. Delivery, lead times and Postage costs. We aim to dispatch all orders within 3-5 days if the hooks you require are IN stock. If the hooks you require are out of stock we can still accept your order and get them sent to you ASAP, we just ask you to wait a little longer. However we will keep you fully informed by email regarding the status of your order. All parcels are sent out on a recorded delivery service and will require a signature. If you already have a supply of hooks that you would like Jason to sharpen please email us with your enquiry. Jason is one of the most highly respected Carp anglers in the country, having written dozens of highly acclaimed articles in the monthly Carp magazines as well as a number of "guest" chapters in well known Carp books. For many years, Jason had been secretly sharpening his own hooks and for those of a very small select band of close friends, although as the word spread through the Carp fishing grapevine, he has been asked to sharpen hooks for some of the best anglers in the country, this fact is usually kept very quiet! By using the skills he has learnt from a lifetime of working as a jeweller, Jason has developed a range of techniques to take new, chemically sharpened hooks to a completely new level of sharpness that cannot be replicated in a factory for mass production. In 2006 Jason wrote a series of articles in Carpology that blew apart the myth that the sharpness of chemically sharpened hooks could not be improved upon, much to the annoyance of some of the hook manufacturers! These articles showed in detail the tools that were required to sharpen hooks to perfection and included the now widely used "3 sided method" which Jason specifically developed for the job. These articles sparked much debate and the subject is still one of the most talked about today. Although many anglers have subsequently written about the subject and/or claimed to have been "doing it for years" etc, Jason is considered by those that know, to be the original and leading authority on the subject. In more recent years, Jason has worked closely with JAG Products giving thousands of sharpening demo's at the Carp shows and has helped JAG to develop top quality hook sharpening tools to Jason's exacting standards.
