Get used to seeing my extra body part! ๐ฆฟ
I've had several clients and associates recently asking why they see me wearing the medical boot sometimes but not all the time.๐ค
To clear up any misunderstanding of its use - it is simply to stabilise my 'end stage' arthritic ankle whilst weight bearing and walking. I do not particularly enjoy wearing it of course, but it does do it's job & makes life pain free, which is a huge relief. ๐ฎโ๐จ
I am now on the waiting list for a full ankle replacement, but I could be waiting anywhere from this week, up to a year! ๐
You will often see me working in it, simply because I'm on my feet most of the day in the gym. You will also see me walking in it, if I need to walk further than 100 metres! ๐
You will not see me in it on a night out! ๐ (Only, if I have to walk any distance). However, you'll definitely see a carrier bag with me, containing my essentials, ie, my beautiful shoes, to change in to!! ๐ ๐
You will neither see me in it, if I'm doing my own personal workouts in the gym, or if I'm cycling. This is simply because, I usually only exercise for 45 -60 mins at a time in the gym. Whilst cycling, there's usually not much pressure going through my ankle, so no need to wear it.
I'm still exercising weekly, I'm still working, I haven't given up!! I'm simply adapting to my extra body part! ๐
