Yesterday was the 3rd round of the Fulbeck Events Sprint Series, and with a record size TKM extreme grid for the series, along with some new faces emerging it was sure to be a tough fight!
Heat 1 - Will won from 2nd on the Grid, with Andy a season best 4th finish and Ricky in 7th.
Heat 2 saw some very tough racing, Andy managed to find the lead after starting 2nd on the grid, but on the 5th lap sadly made a mistake from the lead which ended his race, Will finished 3rd, while Ricky picked up a solid 5th after keeping his nose clean from all the track action
Heat 3 - after some quick repairs by Luke Burrows, Andy managed to find his feet again and finished another solid 5th place, while Will finished 2nd and Ricky 7th.
The final - Will Started 2nd, Andy 5th and Ricky 7th - Will and Byron Brown battled it out for the whole final trading fastest lap times, with Will taking the lead 4 corners before the end, for Byron to pounce back 2 corners from home. Andy fought hard but a technical issue dropped him to 6th, and Ricky raced well but a racing incident unfortunately brought a stop to his race!
All in all a fantastic weekend, Will set a new series record, while Andy and Ricky both set personal best times. The season is shaping up for some great battles!
