🚨 Exciting News for Lincoln Grappling Coalition 🚨
Since day one, Lincoln Grappling Coalition has always been something we’ve been incredibly proud of.
The club has grown from a small group of like-minded people who simply loved training, into a thriving community of hobbyists, competitors, families, professional athletes, and complete beginners all sharing the mats together. That sense of community will always be at the heart of what we do.
Up until now, we’ve always seen ourselves as a part-time club, largely because I’ve balanced running the club alongside a full-time job. However, over the last few years the club has continued to grow, and we’ve reached a point where we feel the time is right to take the next step.
Our vision is to become a full-time academy, offering more opportunities for people to train than ever before. This means expanding our timetable with additional morning sessions, daytime classes, more evening classes, beginner programmes, and specialist sessions throughout the week.
Whether you’re someone who trains once or twice a week to stay fit, learn a new skill, and enjoy being part of a great community, or you’re a dedicated competitor looking to test yourself at the highest level, we want to create an environment where everyone can thrive.
To help us achieve that vision, we’re proud to announce that Brian Little will be stepping into the role of Club Manager.
Brian is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt who has been training consistently for over five years and has competed regularly throughout his journey. His BJJ story began in Dallas, Texas, where he started training under the legendary Carlos Machado before relocating to Lincoln and continuing his development at Lincoln Grappling Coalition.
Since joining the club, Brian has become an integral part of the coaching team. Many of you will already know him from our early morning classes, beginner programmes, and from assisting with both our adult and junior sessions. He has a genuine passion for helping people improve, whether that’s supporting someone through their first class, helping a student prepare for competition, or building confidence in those who simply want to become a better version of themselves.
Brian’s coaching style is technical, approachable, and focused on developing strong fundamentals that students can rely on throughout their grappling journey. He believes that everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience level, should feel welcome on the mats and have the opportunity to progress in a positive learning environment.
For anyone wondering, I’m not going anywhere! I’ll still be around coaching classes, supporting the team, and continuing to help drive the club forward. This isn’t about stepping away—it’s about building something bigger and creating even more opportunities for our members.
We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds for Lincoln Grappling Coalition. The Coalition has always been about bringing people together through grappling, and with Brian taking on this new role, we’re confident that the next chapter will be our biggest and best yet.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We’re only just getting started. 💪🥋
