The University of Lincoln American Football team - the Colonials - are currently recruiting additional coaches ahead of the 2023/24 season.

After a successful year we’ve put together a great core of players and find ourselves in a position to push forward next season. Currently we have open coaching roles at a number of positions and believe the right coaches can help achieve our goals, alongside our current coaches next season.

We are currently recruiting:
- Additional Positional Coaches
- Offensive Assistant Coach
- Defensive Assistant Coach

A level one coaching certificate is preferred but not required.

After huge success from the previous Wax a Colonial campaign, we are back! The boys clearly could not get enough a year ago and have signed up for round 2. If you would like to donate to our cause, we would love for you to pick your (least) favourite player and we will video their reaction for your enjoyment. This year, all funds raised go towards buying new equipment for the football team to help us through the financial struggles.

In life, as so often does, expectations alter. So is the case for Orson and his time at University and with the Colonials. Already having experience playing American football, he joined the team, ready to utilise that. However, out of necessity, he was required to switch from his natural position of tight-end to the trenches and play both right tackle and defensive end. But rather than being disappointed, he took it in stride and, with constant improvement over the year, became a true asset as starting right tackle. Yet where one choice may prosper, another would not. Recognising the course he chose was not for him, Orson has taken the brave decision to find something that does, and we have complete faith in him to succeed, but unfortunately, it means his time as a Colonials is over.
With that, we have wished our final farewell for the year, and we would like to say to all past, present, and future Colonials; Life is full of difficult decisions and certain expectations. And sometimes making those decisions and altering those expectations is daunting but remember;
Improving one's life always takes risk and sacrifice, but knowing what, when, where and why is how you truly succeed.
