What a brilliant friendly for the lads today! 👏🏻
We welcomed Sleaford Lionesses for a game that was so evenly matched in ability — exactly the kind of game the boys needed! It was competitive, full of great moments and, most importantly, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. 🙌🏻
It honestly makes us so excited for the season ahead and to see what else these lads have to show us! There’s so much potential in this group, and days like today really show how far they’re coming. 💪🏻⚽️
It was also fantastic to see some of our training players stepping up and taking on positions for the friendly. They absolutely rose to the challenge, and it’s brilliant to see the squad continuing to grow and develop. 👏🏻
A huge thank you to Sleaford Lionesses for a fantastic game and for being such a brilliantly matched opposition. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 💛
And, as always, a massive thank you to Coach/Ref Scott and Coach Walid for everything you do for the lads. Your time, effort and support never go unnoticed! 🖤💛

💛🖤 **SEASON FUNDRAISING REMINDER!** 🖤💛

With the new season just around the corner, we just wanted to pop a little reminder in about our **“Sponsor Our Goals”** fundraiser ⚽️🥅

The idea is super simple — you choose an amount you’re happy to sponsor **per goal scored** (25p, 50p, £1 or any amount that works for you), and then each week you only pay for the goals the boys actually score! 🙌🏻

Every penny raised will go straight back into the team to help towards **training sessions, equipment and giving the boys the best opportunities possible** throughout the season. 💛

We’d absolutely love as many of you as possible to get involved, but there’s **no pressure at all** — just choose whatever works for your family. 😊

We’ll keep a tally of the goals each week and let you know what’s owed.

Hopefully there’ll be plenty of goals for everyone to sponsor! 😂⚽️

🌞⚽️ PICNIC & PLAY — SUCCESS! ⚽️🌞
What a brilliant first Picnic & Play for our Birchwood Colts Under 8s! 💛🖤
The sun was out in FULL force ☀️, but we found ourselves some much-needed shade and settled in for an afternoon of fun, games, laughs and plenty of time for the boys to just enjoy being together away from the pitch! 🥳
And honestly… they had a lovely time! 💛
Although, we may need to work on the whole “how old are you?” and “what’s your name again?” situation… because apparently navigating everyone’s ages and names was the hardest part of the day! 🤣🤣
It was so lovely seeing the boys getting to know each other, having fun and building those friendships that make being part of a team so special. ⚽️🫶🏻
A huge thank you to all the parents and families who came along and helped make our first one such a success!

Friday night training ⚽️💛🖤
Another great session from the lads!
With the heat still hanging around, we kept things low energy and high focus, working in smaller areas to really concentrate on:
⚽️ Ball control
🎯 Passing
👀 Staying alert
🧠 Attention & decision-making
🔄 Moving the ball under pressure@
Despite the heat and having different coaches stepping in this week, the boys adapted brilliantly and once again put in a fantastic performance. Their attitude, effort and willingness to listen really shone through! 👏🏻

Bring a picnic, footballs and plenty of energy! It’s a great chance for the boys to play, parents to chat and everyone to enjoy a relaxed morning together. 💛🖤

Another brilliant session tonight! 💛🖤

With Coach Scott unexpectedly caught up at work, a huge thank you to Matt & Walid for stepping in and delivering a fantastic training session. The boys listened brilliantly, worked incredibly hard and showed some serious improvements in their ball skills throughout the evening.

The focus and effort from every player was outstanding, and it all came together perfectly in the friendly match to finish the session. 👏⚽
