Yesterday, Hayley from the League Committee watched the match between Grimsby borough under 9 girls and HBW United U9s. She was so impressed she sent in the following:
'Today, I had the pleasure of being a spectator at a fantastic fixture between Grimsby Borough U9s and HBW United U9s.
From the first whistle to the final blow, both teams played with tremendous spirit and enthusiasm, showcasing exactly what grassroots football is all about: teamwork, determination, sportsmanship, and most importantly, having fun with a smile on their faces.
It was great to see the players listening to their coaches, who provided positive encouragement and guidance throughout the match, helping to create an enjoyable and supportive environment for everyone involved.
A special thank you also goes to all the parents and carers whose positive support and encouragement for both teams helped maintain a brilliant atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and respect from the sidelines played a huge part in making the game such an enjoyable experience for the players.
Days like these would not be possible without our club and league volunteers. Their dedication, commitment, and countless hours of hard work provide so many girls with the opportunity to play football, develop their skills, build friendships, and enjoy being part of the game we all love. Grassroots football simply would not be possible without you'
