🔥 Double Race Weekend Success for Triangle Triathlon Club! 🔥

What a fantastic weekend of racing for our TTC members across two brilliant events — Beyond the Wall at Castleward and the Quarry Sprint at Splash, Moneymore!

On Saturday, at the TI National Series Sprint race hosted by Down Triathlon Club , strong performances came from Ryan, Sabrina, Thomas, Mark K, Jeff, Peter and Anne M as they kicked off their National Series points campaigns in style.

🏆 Huge congratulations to Sabrina who secured 1st place in her Age Group

👏 Special mentions to Mark K and Jeff for completing their open water sprint race debuts — a great milestone!

On Sunday, attention turned to the Quarry Sprint where the momentum continued:
🥇 Sabrina made it a double podium weekend, once again taking the top spot in her Age Group — outstanding consistency!
🥇 Anne P opened her season in style with a 1st place Age Group finish
🌊 Congratulations to Kevin and Mairead on their open water debuts, with Mairead going one better by also finishing top of her Age Group!

Every performance and finish line crossed contributes valuable points towards the Triathlon Ireland Club Community League for TTC — a true team effort 💪

👏 Massive well done to all athletes — racing, supporting, and representing TTC with pride!

It’s been an incredible few weeks for TTC members, with achievements far beyond the triathlon scene. From the alternative London Marathon and the Belfast Marathon to Ebrington Hyrox, Coast to Coast cycling, the Inishowen and Donegal sportives, adventure racing, Wild Atlantic mountain running, the Mayor’s Swim Challenge, the Beara Challenge and so many more — what a phenomenal display of commitment, endurance and team spirit.

What a day for the Triangle Tri Club at the Crooked Lake Sprint Triathlon outside Newry.

The rain threatened, but thankfully behaved itself — pity we can’t say the same for one of our travelling triathletes who paid a wee visit to the penalty box ⛔️

Massive shout‑out to Tom, Kieran, Cathal, and Marytn who did the club proud from start to finish.

First open‑water race of the season for all four, and they absolutely smashed it. Roll on the next one.

👏 Triangle Triathlon Club – Brilliant Performances at TriAthy! 👏

On Saturday, TTC had two fantastic representatives at the XVIII Edition of

Despite a challenging and frustrating 2-hour race delay, both athletes showed real resilience and determination to deliver outstanding performances!

James took on the Standard Distance (with a shortened bike course) and celebrated in style with a PB on his run – smashing it by 30+ seconds! 🔥

Peter competed in the T100 distance and delivered an exceptional race, earning a well-deserved 2nd place in his age group! 🥈

Every performance counts, and these results contribute valuable points as Triangle TC builds momentum in the Triathlon Ireland Club Community League

Triangle Tri Club is thrilled to announce we’ve been awarded SportED Engage HER funding*, to deliver our brand‑new Women’s New to Tri Programme.

This support helps us open the door for more women to swim, bike, run, and discover what they’re capable of.

Not every day you get to compete on the world stage 🌍—and what a performance it was!

A huge congratulations to our incredible TTC member, Sabrina, who did herself and the Club proud at the Challenge Family Middle Distance , “The Championship” in Slovakia.

Competing against the very best, she powered through tough conditions in 28°C heat to secure an outstanding 23rd place in the world in her Age Group 👏🔥

Taking on the full middle distance—1900m swim, 90km bike, and 21km run—this was a true test of endurance, determination, and resilience.

An amazing achievement and a fantastic example of what dedication and hard work can deliver. We couldn’t be prouder to see the TTC colours represented on the global stage! ❤️🖤

Closer to home in County Galway, another fantastic performance from TTC

Club member James delivered a strong showing at the Lough Cutra Gauntlet, securing an impressive 9th place in his Age Group over the demanding middle distance course, 6:39:48.
Taking on the same tough format—1900m swim, 90km bike, and 21km run—this race provided the perfect stepping stone as he builds towards his A race, Ironman full distance next month.

A great result and all part of the journey—best of luck with the final preparations, James! We’ll all be cheering you on! ❤️🖤
