Section 1
Buncrana V Roe Park
This was a match where both Teams made full use of home advantage, Buncrana gaining a 6 points to 1 advantage at home but Roe Park certainly rose to the challenge at home where they gained a vital 6.5 to .5 points for an overall 7.5 points leaving Buncrana on 6.5 points
Faughan Valley V Greencastle
Faughan Valley made home advantage pay taking all 7 points on offer, Quote from Greencastle Team Captain Joe Mc Cafferty " played 6 matches and lost 7". Once again Faughan Valley played some fine golf at Greencastle adding another 5 points for a 12 point round 1 total leaving Greencastle with 2 points.

North West V Foyle
Foyle upset the form book at North West when they gained 4.5 points courtesy of there last 3 players out on the course coming through with wins when the tie looked like going in North West's favor, the match at Ballyarnett resulted in Foyle adding another 6 points for a 10.5 points total leaving North West on 3.5 points but the real story of this tie was the splendid golf played by Kyle Mc Carron + 1 North West and Shane Mc Clean 3 Foyle having halved their match at North West after some fine golf, they played some outstanding golf in the return leg at Foyle, Through 9 holes Shane held a 5 hole advantage but the prestigious talent that Kyle is he was not going to roll over after finding the green from the tee at the 361yd 10th hole for birdie and reduced the match to 4, again finding the green from the tee at the 334yd 12th hole for birdie and reduced the arrears to 3 he further reduced the arrears to 2 winning the 14th hole but Shane held on for a 2/1 victory with Kyle 4 under par and Shane 2 under par at the 17th.
Ballyliffin V Redcastle
This was another match where both teams made full use of home advantage both teams getting 6 points and losing 1 at home but after an over-site on rule 21a] Redcastle gained another point finishing the tie with 8 points to Ballyliffin's 6.
