Friary Judo Club

Friary Judo Club The Friary Judo Club is based in Lichfield and offers Judo for both Juniors (ages 6 upwards) and Seniors (ages 16 upwards).

The club has a friendly atmosphere and caters for Judo at all levels.

Yoko guruma [Side Wheel]

In last week's Saturday session we practiced Yoko Guruma (Side Wheel) - This is a great throw and lots of fun to execute 😏

Great effort from all of our judokas 👏🤌

This week's class is on tomorrow (Tuesday) 6pm for Juniors and 7:15pm for Seniors, see you there 🥋

I personally have one of the Unisex Team Hoodies and I honestly live in it (should really get commission for the advertising 👀) - Genuinely very impressed by the quality and fit... I even got it personalised 😂

The website is full of useful info about, well, the sport of Judo, including;

- Useful terminology (Japanese and English) 🤓
- Info about the coaches, their skills and their many (and in some cases very many 🦳 ) years of experience, and involves some great coach mugshots that you can have a good laugh at 😏

- Useful info for Competitions🎖🏆

Now for something a little different. Some of the coaches attended a Goshin Jutsu Kata course recently. They are now trained to respond to attacks with wooden implements.. well done all
