🏆💚 HOUSE GALA 2026 — WHAT A DAY! 💚🏆

What an absolutely AMAZING day for the Green Army! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️💦

From our Academy swimmers right through to our Masters — and even our coaches getting in on the racing — today was everything a House Gala should be: loud, competitive, exciting and, most importantly, great fun! 🙌

The battle for the trophy was close, with every house giving it absolutely everything. The noise and support around the pool were incredible! 📣🔥

To every single swimmer who raced today — you were INCREDIBLE! 💚 Whether you were racing for points, chasing a PB, trying something new or simply enjoying being part of your team, you all played your part in making today so special.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped organise and run the gala, and a special shout-out to our House Team Managers and Chaperones for looking after and supporting our swimmers throughout the day. 👏💚

💚💙 WE ARE BACK! 💙💚

The summer break is over and tomorrow we officially kick off the new season! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

We hope all our swimmers, coaches and families have had a fantastic and well-deserved break. Now it’s time to get back on poolside, see our teammates again and start working towards another exciting season ahead.

From tomorrow, our full programme returns for ALL squads — and we can’t wait to see everyone back in the water! 💪

A new season means new goals, new challenges and new opportunities. Bring the energy, bring the commitment and most importantly… enjoy being back doing what you love! 💚

💚🏊 CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SELECTION! 🏊💚

A massive congratulations to Neve, Thomas and Darcy, who have all been selected for the Swim England North West Regional Development Programme 2026/27! 👏🌟

This is a fantastic achievement and a brilliant recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication all three continue to show in their swimming.

The programme will see them attend two Regional Development Camps at Wigan Life Centre, working alongside other talented swimmers from across the North West:

📅 Camp 1: Sunday 15th November 2026
📅 Camp 2: Sunday 16th May 2027

We are incredibly proud to see Leyland Barracudas SC and Jessica Holding named on the final shortlists for the Swim England North West Regional Awards 2026! 👏

🏆 Leyland Barracudas SC – Club of the Year
🌟 Jessica Holding – Young Volunteer of the Year

To reach the final shortlist is a fantastic achievement in itself and something everyone connected with the Green Army can be extremely proud of. 💚

A huge thank you to Swim England North West for the recognition and for selecting both the club and Jess amongst this year’s finalists. It means a great deal to everyone involved with Leyland Barracudas.

The awards evening takes place on Saturday 3rd October at Leigh Sports Village, and we’ll be keeping everything crossed! 🤞🏆

We would also like to wish every nominee across all of this year’s award categories the very best of luck. Being shortlisted is a brilliant recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication that goes into aquatics across the North West. 👏

A HUGE congratulations to our very own Pam Lane, who has had a fantastic time competing at the British Transplant Games 2026 in Sheffield — coming home with an incredible FOUR MEDALS! 👏👏

Everyone at Leyland Barracudas ASC is incredibly proud to congratulate Sophie Dixon, Darcy Allanson, Thomas Owens, Yarah Ghazal and Robyn Sallis on their selection to represent Lancashire at the National County Team Championships 2026.

This prestigious event will take place at Ponds Forge International Pool, Sheffield, on Sunday 4th October 2026, where the very best young swimmers from across the country will compete for county honours.

To have five Barracudas selected is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, commitment and hard work shown by each swimmer throughout the season. It is also another proud milestone for our club and highlights the continued progress of the Green Army.

Representing your county is a huge honour, and we know each of you will wear the Lancashire cap with pride.

💚🏊 DAY 6 RESULTS | SWIM ENGLAND NATIONAL SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏊💚

A huge well done to Beth Adam and Emily Wade following their 200m Individual Medley races today.

Both swimmers finished just outside their personal bests, but to compete amongst the very best in England is an achievement to be incredibly proud of. Congratulations to you both on fantastic performances and on representing the Green Army with such pride throughout the championships.

These races also bring to a close another unforgettable season for Leyland Barracudas – a season that will be remembered for many years to come.

⭐ And countless personal bests, medals, club records and unforgettable moments along the way.

To every swimmer, coach, volunteer, official, parent and supporter – thank you. Your hard work, commitment and belief have helped make this one of the greatest seasons in our club’s history.
