What a lovely afternoon we had at social tennis today, 28 members down enjoying the tennis, sun and all round fun!

A perfect day for our tennis open day. The ladies had a lovely afternoon playing tennis and enjoying some beautiful cake bakes and a cheeky glass of Prosecco in the sunshine.

Looking forward to Summer 2026, roll on plenty more sunshine and tennis.

Croston Tennis Club is looking for new members. Ladies afternoon for all abilities on 19th April 1pm to 4pm. All welcome. It's a lovely village club and a great way to exercise, have fun and make new friends.

Monday evening saw the return of the ‘summer’ tennis season for our tennis teams. Sadly, following torrential rain, our 1st teams match at home had to be abandoned. Match being replaced on Thursday 2nd May. Hoping for much nicer weather!!

Our second team had a better evening on away on Monday, managing to complete their match, but losing 11- 5 to Southbank

Our third team, played away at Hillside on Tuesday, a pleasant evening, but losing 10 - 6

Our Ribble team are away on Friday evening at Burnley, wishing them the best of luck. Scores to follow.

On Tuesday, we opened up our tennis courts to Croston Cubs who had an amazing evening undertaking various sporting challenges. Great to link in and support local youth organisations.

A great afternoon of tennis at our social tournament this afternoon, the play might be (a bit) better at Wimbledon, but we were 40-love up for the company and the food! Especially nice to see younger players taking part, Sam, Morgan (who came 3rd overall btw - just saying), Elanor and George. It was a genuine pleasure to meet you all 🙂 Congratulations to Nigel who won the most points over 4 games. 👍
