It's The Dales League KO final tomorrow Thursday, Aug 20, at The Dalesman's Club, Leyburn, from 7pm. Cup holders Middleham are defending their title against Kirkby Malzeard. There will be some excellent quoits (as well as beer, pizza and chips).

It's all over in the League 2026 with one or two exciting finishes: congratulations to Foresters Arms Carlton who are promoted to Division 1 (good work, lads). They go up with Bolton Arms Downholme. At the bottom of the tables there's a huge cheer for the 'jolly boys' of Redmire Village Pub who climbed from their basement position, passing the wooden spoon to The Fox West Witton B.
The Fountain Hotel, Hawes, return to Division 2, taking The Three Horseshoes, Wensley with them. Well done all.

West Witton A and B teams organised a friendly KO at The Fox West Witton during the drinks and buffet in memory of former Dales League Chairman Roger Howis.
Bryan from Kirby Malzeard won, beating Mick from West Burton in the final. WWB captain Martin Baggaley, who earlier gave a speech in Roger's memory, presented Bryan with ‘The Roger Howis Memorial KO Trophy’.

With a game to play in the season Middleham have topped Division 1 and can't be caught by The Dalesman's Club, Leyburn. Demotion is a certainty for The Three Horseshoes, Wensley while The Fountain Hotel, Hawes, have to win big at the Dalesman on Monday to climb above Kirkby Malzeard and beat the drop.
It's a close run at the top of Division 2 where Foresters Arms Carlton are chasing Bolton Arms Downholme for the top slot. Both look set to be promoted, only The Crown Inn, Askrigg, can spoil the party for Carlton.

With the end of the season in sight the top two places in Division 1 look inevitable while The Fountain Hotel, Hawes and The Three Horseshoes, Wensley will struggle to catch Kirkby Malzeard and stave off relegation. Division Two's The Crown Inn, Askrigg and Bolton Arms Downholme are vying for the top slot with only a point in it. The Fox West Witton A are snapping at their heels but with a game in hand the two contenders for promotion can only lengthen their lead.

Middleham have run away with the lead in Division 1, looking untouchable to their rivals The Dalesman's Club, Leyburn. At the bottom of the division and with two games in hand The Three Horseshoes, Wensley, could leapfrog The Fountain Hotel, Hawes, and Kirkby Malzeard to escape relegation.
The Crown Inn, Askrigg, are contenders for promotion from Division 2, along with The Bolton Arms Downholme, as rivals Foresters Arms Carlton, lose form.

Middleham are running away with the lead in Division 1 and while there was little separation between the bottom of the division teams last week Kirkby Malzeard have pulled away, leaving The Fountain Hotel, Hawes, and The Three Horseshoes, Wensley, in the relegation zone.
The Crown Inn, Askrigg, are holding steady at the top of Division 2 with Bolton Arms Downholme, replacing Foresters Arms Carlton as the contenders for promotion.
