The pace is warming up in Division 1 as The Bridge Inn-Grinton shoot to the top from last week's 4th position, showing just how tight things are while The Dalesman's Club, Leyburn are hot on their heels with a game in hand. In Division 2 The Crown Inn, Askrigg, is settling in at the top with a game in hand over their nearest rival The Fox West Witton A. The 'young guns' of Carlton are ones to watch, sitting mid-table with two games in hand.

The Dalesman's Club, Leyburn have leapt to the top of Division One from last week's 4th spot after a solid win over The Bridge Inn-Grinton but Middleham lurk at 6th place with two games in hand. In Division Two The Fox West Witton A now lead the table with The Crown Inn, Askrigg close on their heels with one game in hand.

It's tight at the top of Division 1 though it could all change, taking into account postponements as the result of bad weather. In Division 2 The Crown Inn, Askrigg have moved into a lead position with their strong win over Redmire Village Pub. On their heels are WWA whose pints tasted sweeter after their victory over fellow drinkers at The Fox West Witton.

The last game in Round 2 of the League KO Cup has been played. The line-up for the semi-finals on 23 July is below with the newly promoted The Fountain Hotel, Hawes, facing last year's winners, the favourites Middleham. Good luck everyone!

The second game of the season sees Kirkby Malzeard top Division 1 though Middleham and The Dalesman have games in hand. The Crown Inn, Askrigg, have a strong start in Division 2 with the Redmire Village Pub already setting out their store at the bottom. Come on Redmire!

And we're off and into the 2026 season (for 12 of the 14 teams that is). Much to the delight of the rest of the teams, the League and Cup holders Middleham, who haven't played yet, are at the bottom of Division 1. No doubt this will be the only time they occupy that place.

The last day of the West Witton Feast includes the Robert Dent Memorial Trophy at the Fox, a singles KO competition. Martin Baggaley of West Witton B presented the trophy.

Congratulations to Middleham who beat The Bridge Inn-Grinton by 21 points to retain the League KO Cup at the Dalesman. MQC also topped Division 1 and have achieved the double for two successive years.

We're at the end of another excellent season for our 14 teams up and down the Dale. In Division 1 Middleham held their place at the top from the start and are heading into the KO Cup for a chance at a second successive double. Bolton Arms Downholme and Carperby will head towards Division 2 while The Fountain Hotel, Hawes, and The Three Horseshoes, Wensley, will be promoted in 2026.
